We have been collaborating all month with Joy Clair and today I am wrapping it up with this card using the Original Misti and the Hugs & Smiles set by Joy Clair.
To create my card I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of watercolor paper cut down with a stitched die. I stamped this images with versa mark ink and then embossed them with white embossing powder. Next I used Daniel Smith watercourse to color the flowers. The greeting is from the Butterfly Kisses set also by Joy Clair.
Thanks for stopping by all month as we collaborated with Joy Clair and Happy Easter!
Happy Friday and Happy Good Friday ;) Ilina here taking over My Sweet Petunia blog today. I know it's not Tuesday, but we do have whole month collaboration with Joy Clair, and we are showcasing projects using both companies products.
Plus if you leave a comment whenever you see this banner you will be entered to win our prizes: 2 $25 Joy Clair Gift certificates and one MISTI - your choice of original or mini. Winners will be announced in April on both blogs.
For my card today I used the set called Out Of Space. I stamped the images using my MISTI and Intense Black ink, then colored them with Copic markers, put them back in my MISTI and overstamped with Versafine Clair ink then embossed with ultra fine embossing powder.
And I used some patterned paper for the background. I love everything space/galaxy, so this paper was must have as an alternative to creating your own galaxy backgrounds especially when you are in a time crunch..

Ok, now, let me show you the cards I have for you today!
Both cards use "Best Buds". I stamped the images using my Original MISTI on watercolor paper in Jet Black Ink, then colored the images with Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers. I die-cut the images with stitched dies, and backgrounds were die-cut from patterned paper.
Don't you love these images?! I think they are adorable!!
Have you ever just fell in love with a product and you can't explain why you are drawn to it? That is my relationship with this Geometric Background Die from Reverse Confetti. When I was shopping on the site, my mind kept going back to this die.
I had no earthly idea what I was going to create with it. Then once it was in my hands, I went to town on creating a set of cards. I first started off with a simple gradient of color.
Then with the remaining pieces, I was able to create more variations of the same card. I used up all of my Stick It adhesive on my first set of cards. So I had to improvise with an alternative adhesive.
I used my favorite Avery Elle Simply Said You die and a stamp from Altenew Halftone Circles to create my sentiment. For my final touches, I added a combination of different color jewels from Little Things by Lucy and Pretty Pink Posh.
Please leave a comment below on what product you have that you can't part with because you love it so. The MISTI doesn't count because that is a given.
Lydia here with a fun collaboration with sweet Nicole from Right at Home Stamps. They are celebrating National Craft Month in March, and so we've teamed up with them for a challenge. Nicole is hosting a week of challenges at their blog, and was nice enough to ask me to participate. So of course, I chose a watercolor challenge. The challenge is to use a water-based medium to create a background. For my card, I chose Distress Oxides so that I could simply show off this gorgeous word die and the matching stamp set. A few sequins, and you have a dramatic, but still simple card.
I did a quick video on this technique, in case you haven't tried the Oxides, so you can see how beautifully they layer - even complementary colors like the pink and green I started with.
More details about this celebratory week...
