Hi little birdies!
I'm a guest of My Sweet Petunia today, in a fun blog hop with Ink Blot Shop! I have an easy background technique for this card, using Distress Oxides to get a "ghosted" image in the background of my little bird missing his buddy.
|
Admit it - you're hoping for a quick bird reunion after seeing this! :) The ghostly images in the background are the other birds in the set - there are a ton of stamps in this set, so I didn't have to use one twice.
The little talk bubble I used for the thought bubble is from this set.
I made sure no white edges were showing on my fussy-cut birds with my Gasenfude brush pen - I love it because it's so flexible and the ink doesn't bleed into the image I'm touching up.
I have a quick video on this card for you today - so enjoy!
So on to the blog hop & giveaway! We are so excited to be teaming up with Ink Blot Shop today - Tifany is a sweet friend, and you will love her design style.
Two lucky commenters will win prizes today - one will win these two stamp sets from Ink Blot Shop, and one will win a $50 gift certificate to My Sweet Petunia.
So be sure and leave a comment on every stop in the hop no later than March 11th at 11:59 PM Central to be eligible. Winners will be announced here and on the Ink Blot Shop blog on Tuesday, March 13th.
