We’re so excited to bring you this week’s Team Tuesday feature from our talented Design Team member, Fabiola—full of charm, imagination, and tiny details that will completely capture your heart! ✨

Fabiola invites us into her creative “microworlds” with these adorable ATC Coin cards, where storytelling meets precision. Using her MISTI for perfectly stamped images, she brings the whimsical Pinocchio characters to life with vibrant coloring and thoughtful design. This project is a beautiful reminder that with the right tools—like those from My Sweet Petunia—you can create small-scale pieces that make a big impact. Get ready to be inspired by creativity that’s as playful as it is precise! 💛

Hello creative friends, today I propose mini cards that I love to make because they look like microworlds that I imagine, the ATC Coins.

Below you'll see I used stamps from the Pinocchio series by Impronte d'Autore, an Italian brand that makes sweet products, with my MISTI.

Then I colored with high-level Olo markers while having fun like a little girl.

To make the base of my ATCs, I used a set by Tim Holtz that contains a large embossing die to make the base of the wooden logs, which fits us very well in context. I then colored them with alcohol markers and blended them with vintage photo distress.

Then with a 2.5-inch die, the white base underneath everything.

And voila.... Pinocchio is served on logs.

Cute, right?
Until next time, Fabiola.

Focus Friday - with Kassi Hulet

We’re so excited to share this absolutely delightful project from our Design Team member, Kassi Hulet—full of creativity, clever technique, and a touch of personal storytelling that we just love! 💛 Inspired by the beauty of spring (and a very special birthday!), Kassi brings a charming hummingbird design to life while showcasing the precision and versatility of her My Sweet Petunia favorites. Using the MISTI Lite, Petunia Platform, and Power Mag, she demonstrates a brilliant solution for perfectly aligning detailed die cuts and stamps—proving once again that our tools are designed to take the stress out of even the trickiest techniques. This project is the perfect blend of artistry and innovation, and we know it will leave you inspired to try something new at your craft table!

Hello friends! It’s my birthday in a few days, and one of the things I’ve always loved about my birthday being in the spring, is this is also the time of year to see baby animals! A few years ago I was lucky enough to find a hummingbird nest in my yard in the absolute PERFECT spot for me to set up my camera and take photos and videos! I used a telephoto lens so I could stay far enough away to keep mama bird happy and not draw the attention of potential predators. It was amazing watch the tiny Tic Tac sized eggs hatch, and the tiny babies grow and eventually take their first flight! I figured a hummingbird card was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday! (baby hummingbird pic at the end!)

The new Floral Muse stamp and die set from LDRS Creative has a beautiful little hummingbird. The dies for this set are VERY close cut to the stamp line. While I love having less halo around the images, it does make it really hard to die cut as there is no room for error in aligning the die, and you can’t even see the beak to make sure you have that centered. Luckily there is an easy solution using either the MISTI or the MISTI Lite!

Die cut first, stamp second. I die cut my hummingbird from watercolor paper, then kept the paper I die cut it from. I added a little washi tape behind the the hummingbird shaped hole, and this creates an alignment guide. I taped my guide down to my Platform and used the Power Mag to secure the MISTI Lite (this same process works great in the MISTI too).

You can easily align the stamp in the hole of your guide; just make sure you check all your edges! Having it on the Platform makes it easy to bring the platform up to eye level to see where the stamp is sitting in the hole. When you are happy with the position, pick the stamp up with the MISTI Lite.

Now you can place your die cut “blank” into the hole and stamp. Perfect! If you have cut a bunch of blanks ahead of time, this is a really easy way to get them all stamped quickly. Simply lift the stamped die out of the hole and pop in the next blank!

My photo shows the hummingbird stamped in a dark gray ink so you can see the lines, but for my project, I stamped my bird using Inkon3 Fadeout ink, nice and light, I then used a variety of watercolors to paint it. Hummingbirds come in all sorts of beautiful array of colors, so pick your favorites and have fun!

Picking out a couple of the colors from my hummingbird, I create a soft watercolor background, focusing the color in the bottom left and fading to white on the top right. I also added in splatters… because they are fun!

Using Spellbinders Copperplate Happy Birthday press plate, I foiled my sentiment- I love the elegance the foil adds!  I also added in some sparkly gold splatters after foiling.

I glued my watercolor panel down to an A2 card base, used a black pen to doodle a border, and glued on my little hummingbird. Simple yet effective!

For a little something extra, I added a bit of sparkle to the head and tips of the wings using a shimmer paint. I find that small hints of sparkle are often more effective than covering the whole thing in sparkle.

And, as a little treat, here is mama feeding her babies in the nest that was in my yard a few years ago… There were 2 babies in the nest (even though you can only see on popping it’s head up here). Hummingbirds are INCREDIBLE!

Happy painting!

Team Tuesday - On Thursday - with Ceal Pritchett

We’re thrilled to (finally!) share this beautiful and heartfelt project from our talented Design Team member, Ceal Pritchett—just a tiny shift from Team Tuesday to a special Thursday feature, and absolutely worth the wait!

Ceal’s stunning Mother’s Day card showcases the magic of My Sweet Petunia tools in action, from precise ink blending on our Sticky Mat and Petunia Platform to perfectly stamped sentiments with the MINI MISTI. Even more meaningful is the story behind her design—a touching reminder of how cardmaking can be both creative and deeply personal. This project truly captures what our brand is all about: empowering makers to create with intention, precision, and heart.

With Mother’s Day being right around the corner I am working on the many cards I send out for that day. Mother’s Day can be a hard day for some, and it was and still is for me. I lost my mom at a very young age and since I became a card maker is had been a ministry of mine to send out Mother’s Day cards to those whom I know it is there first Mother’s Day without their mom, because that day is so hard, and I want them to know that they are being thought of and prayer for.

To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base. I created the background by using a die cut to create a stencil and ink blended directly on the card base. Next, I cut the flowers and leaves out of white cardstock placed them on a Sticky Mat, placed that on a Petunia Platform and held it down with two Power Mags as I ink blended color over the die cuts. I removed the die cuts and added them along the bottom of the arched background on the card base. To finish the card, I placed the base in a MINI MISTI and added the sentiment.

Before you head off to your craft space, here’s a little extra inspiration for putting your My Sweet Petunia Sticky Mat to work in even more creative ways! Beyond holding die cuts in place for flawless ink blending, try using it to secure delicate pieces while adding detail with markers, paints, or even foil accents. It’s perfect for keeping stencils from shifting during background blending, holding small embellishments steady while you add adhesive, or organizing tiny die cut elements as you build layered designs. You can even use it as a “design board” to audition layouts before committing to your final card. Once you start experimenting, you’ll find the Sticky Mat quickly becomes one of those can’t-craft-without-it tools in your creative routine!

And don’t forget—your Petunia Platform paired with our Pawn Magnets or Power Mag is a powerhouse combo that goes far beyond stamping sentiments! Try using them to hold intricate layered stamps perfectly in place while building depth with multiple impressions, or to secure cardstock when aligning tricky background patterns for seamless results. They’re also fantastic for holding down slimline or non-standard card sizes that tend to shift, and for keeping acetate steady when stamping on specialty surfaces. Use the magnets to “map out” placement before stamping, or even to anchor small masks and partial die cuts for creative techniques like spotlighting. With a little imagination, your Platform and magnets become more than tools—they’re your precision partners for stress-free, perfectly placed creativity every time.

Team Tuesday - with Anna Wight

We’re excited to bring you another inspiring Team Tuesday here at My Sweet Petunia, featuring the incredibly talented Anna Wight! In today’s post, Anna shares a beautifully detailed floral card that highlights how effortless precision stamping can be—even on textured watercolor paper. With the help of the Mini MISTI, she achieves crisp, perfectly placed impressions that allow her artistic watercoloring to truly shine. It’s a wonderful reminder of how the right tools can elevate every step of your creative process!

Hello everyone! Anna here, with greetings from the pacific northwest!

The card I’m sharing today was made using the new Jar and Flowers clear stamp set from SweetMissDaisy Designs. The card showcases the beautiful sunflower image from the set, as well as one of the sentiments. Both were stamped perfectly using a Mini Misti!

I used the Mini Misti to stamp the main focal image several times on watercolor paper to ensure a great impression on the textured paper. The sentiment was also stamped several times to ensure a perfect impression on the textured watercolor paper.

I painted the image with watercolor paints and added additional details to the wings of the bee using metallic paint for a little sparkle and shine.

I love how the Mini Misti allows me to stamp perfectly, every time! On card panels or on smaller sentiment banners, I can stamp with precision every time, giving me the perfect placement and impression for every project.  Sentiments are stamped perfectly placed, and stamped images on watercolor paper (or other textured papers) are a breeze to create!

Thanks for joining me on the blog today! Stay healthy and well!

We’re delighted to welcome Deniz back to the My Sweet Petunia blog, where she’s serving up a charming card project that’s equal parts playful and heartwarming. Today’s design captures the nostalgic comfort of milk and cookies with a creative shaker twist, combining soft pastel tones, thoughtful layering, and just the right touch of sparkle. It’s a wonderful showcase of how precision tools and a bit of imagination can come together to create something truly special.

Hello lovely crafty friends! I’m back on the My Sweet Petunia blog today sharing this sweet little shaker card that’s giving all the cozy milk-and-cookies vibes 🥛🍪

I used the suite of products from Hero Arts featuring the Spilled Milk stamp set along with the coordinating milk, cookies, and milk carton dies to build this playful scene.

To create the “glass of milk,” I die cut the opening from my front panel and backed it with acetate that I tinted using a light blue Copic marker. It adds just the softest milky look while still keeping that translucent feel.

Next, I cut my cookies from beige and brown cardstock and assembled the milk carton using soft pinks for a sweet, pastel touch. Before committing, I played around with placement, then popped the carton into my MISTI Stamping Tool to stamp the sentiment.

And truly, this is where the MISTI shines. Being able to stamp (and re-stamp!) until everything is crisp and perfect is my absolute favourite feature. It definitely saved the day here!

To finish things off, I added foam tape for dimension and filled the shaker with sparkly bits to mimic milk, because why not make it extra magical? ✨

I adhered everything to my card base, added the glass detail in vellum and that’s it—a cute, interactive shaker that’s good enough to dunk!

Team Tuesday - with Jordan Hansen

At My Sweet Petunia, we love when a project captures both the beauty of the season and the joy of creating—and this week’s Team Tuesday feature does exactly that!

Jordan Hanson is sharing a stunning spring-inspired card filled with bright, cheerful florals and thoughtful details that immediately bring to mind fields of blooming wildflowers. From crisp, perfectly aligned stamping in the Mini MISTI to seamless layering with coordinating stencils and dies, every step showcases how our tools help take the guesswork out of the creative process. The added texture, dimension, and finishing touches truly make this design shine, proving that a little precision goes a long way in creating something beautifully uplifting.

💮💮💮

Hi, it's Jordan from Jordan's Easy Entertaining.

I hope you are enjoying the start of a beautiful April so far. This month I wanted to make a card for you that feels like Spring. Here in the Hill country of Texas, we have some gorgeous yellow wildflowers growing everywhere and I was feeling inspired by them.

For the focal point on my card, I created this beautiful floral bunch using the Pinkfresh Studio "Never Give Up" stamp with some Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink in my Mini MISTI.

Then I used the coordinating stencil set and some Altenew Crisp Die Ink to color the florals.

Since I had plenty of room on my panel of cardstock, I place it back into my Mini MISTI and used a sentiment from the stamp set that says, "Never give up on the things that make you smile."

I then used the Pinkfresh Studio "Never Give Up" die set and my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine to cut out the floral bunch and sentiment.  I also used my Spellbinders Nested Postage Labels and Tag die set to cut out background pieces in gold and white cardstock. I used the Spellbinders Flowers and Leaves embossing folder to add some texture to the white cardstock background.

Next, I used my Precision Glue Press to add all of my elements to my A2 card including some flat back pearls and gems.

I got a sweet surprise in the mail this week when Altenew sent a stamp set that included a custom stamp for me that I'll be using on ALL of my cards from now on. I used my MISTI Lite and Petunia Platform to stamp the back of my card when I was finished.

What do you think? Does this card feel like Spring to you?

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day and go do something that makes you smile.
