Team Tuesday with Giovana

 Hello friends!
Giovana here today, I am a little late, life has been crazy around the Smith house, my days are so mixed up, but I have a fun project simple and adorable ;) great for every occasion.

For this project I used this fantastic Boho Mandala background.
Details:
Mist a piece of watercolor paper with Gold Shimmering Bliss Topper, set aside to dry for a few minutes.
Position background stamp on your Original MISTI, stamp it first in Orange Ink, then add Chocolate Ink to the edges of the Boho Mandala.
Stamp Happy Everything sentiment on a piece of vellum, then trim it using the amazing Cut-Align.
Add watercolor panel to a white card base.
Embellish Boho Mandala with a gold pearl.
Adhere sentiment.
Add a couple of die-cut flowers from Spring Branches set.

Love the shimmery look!!

This is how it looks!
This picture doesn't do justice!
Hope you like it.
Have a wonderful day!

Team Tuesday with Ceal

Hello Everyone!
It's Ceal, it's my Tuesday to share a project with you today. I am sharing a card I created using a gorgeous set Fine Line Florals along with the matching dies This bundle has become one of my favorites by Concord & 9th.

I started with a white card base and a white panel. I placed the panel in the Original MISTI and used the Creative Corners so I could stamp the entire panel with the floral image and then go back and add some color on certain flowers. I used Peach Bellini, Wild Dandelion and Sea Glass inks by Gina K.

For the greeting I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment using Gina K embossing ink on a black onyx strip of card stock and embossed it using white powder. I used the Cut-Align to cut the greeting down and I also wanted it in two pieces. The Cut-Align makes it so easy to get a thin greeting.

To finish the card I popped up the greeting using foam tape and added it to the focal panel, next I added the panel to a piece of Black Onyx card stock and then adhered that to the card base.

Altenew Anniversary + Giveaway

Time sure flies.

I remember the shock and awe of Altenew's first release and the huge splash they made with their unique, elegant designs.

Fast forward, literally - five years and it's their anniversary. How does that happen?

I'm helping to celebrate that amazing accomplishment by a thriving small business today with a fun hybrid card and a video.

I say hybrid because the focus of the card is this gorgeous mask, but I then used the masked space for zentangling. I used this amazing new stencil spray in an effort to test it when used with messy watercolor, and it performed unbelievably well, preserving the shape perfectly against my Infusions and sprayed water and dabbing.

I'm a huge fan. It's a very light low tack adhesive that can be used over and over. It washes off with just water if you like that sort of thing - but I'm just going to leave it on for next time.

I should have known when Iliana told me it was a must have that it was a must have. She's great at spotting new products.

The colors I used were Are you Cerise, A Bit Jaded and Orange County. You'll see how it comes together in the video below. I used a Copic Multiliner to do the tangling, and added some white enamel dots to finish it off. The die cut is from this bundle.
Here's the video of this quick process and an overview of the spray.

Team Tuesday with Kia

 This is Beauty.

I made Beauty for today's Team Tuesday post. I did do a video but it ended up at 25 minutes, which I think is just too long. So instead I have opted for a tutorial, for those who like to have a lot of information about making the card.
First however, I would like to share the pictures of my finished card. I opted for a coral/orange colour for the flower, as that colour on the sun rays is mostly covered by the flower.
A close up of the Peony shows the details from the stamp, which I went over with the paints as I very much like the details on this flower.
And, as I normally do, I have also done the inside of my card, which is where the name of my card came from, stamping the sentiment in the Fuchsia Pink to bring that colour inside the card.

So now on to the Tutorial part of my post.
I started with the stencil background, using Ken Oliver's Color Burst powders in Lemon Yellow, Tangerine and Fuchsia. I have also mixed a spritzer with Perfect Pearls which is what I spray the powders with, which adds a beautiful sheen to the finished rays.
(There is a container sitting on the sun part of the stencil to stop it puffing up when I wet the piece).
I have used a Basting Spray from my sewing days to tack down my stencil. It has very good stick to it so for this card I pressed off on a rag before putting on my card stock. When using spray such as this, as I have a bird I must do it outside, and I would recommend that, as it is not the nicest smell around.
This is the finished background. I love the roughness of the sun rays.
I then moved on to stamping the flowers, using Ranger Archival Inks in the colours I was going to use. I also stamped the large Peony in orange and yellow to see what one I would like. I picked the yellow image.
Keeping with the colour burst powders I made puddles of the colours I used on the sun rays, and added in a couple of greens along with a lighter colour of the orange.
I did a few layers of painting to get the colours the way I wanted. The Color Burst colours are very vibrant, which of course I love.
I die cut and attached my sun rays panel to a tangerine card base.
Once all the painting was done I cut the images and styled them with my stylist, adhering them to my card using Nuvo Adhesive Glue and foam squares.
Moving to the inside of my card I die cut the panel and stamped the sentiment using Ranger's Vibrant Fuchsia.
I then styled and glued in the leaves and flower bud.
I finished by adding a few Iridescent Crystals.

I hope you have enjoyed today's Team Tuesday card. Following are affiliate links to the products that I have used on this card.
