Team Tuesday with Giovana

Hello friends! Hope you all are having a great day! Today, I have a simple yet elegant card for you. If you love to color, you are going to love this project. For this project I am using a couple of stamps from Impression Obsession  "Spring Floral Heart" and "Sweet Happines"

First, I stamped the image using my Mini MISTI on a piece of watercolor paper in Jet Black Ink, then colored the image with Chameleon Color Tones Pencils. I didn't use a solution to blend the colors, just the pencils and they blend beautifully.

After the image was colored, I cut it out. I wanted a bit of shimmer, but wasn't sure if a marker will change the color of the image, so I covered the image with Versamark Watermark ink and added Clear embossing powder. The image was beautifully coated, shiny and didn't change the colors.

I cut a piece of White Cardstock 4" x 5.25" and scored the whole piece every 1/4". The background is very cool, I hope you can see it here.
Then, stamped the sentiment on a piece f Vellum in Versamark Watermark and added White Embossing Powder, adhered it on top of image and added rhinestones.
All panels were added to card base using foam adhesive.

 Hope you like it!
Have a fantastic day!

Team Saturday with Ceal

Hello Misti Fans!
It's Ceal to share with you today. As you well know it's Saturday and not Tuesday, well I went to Creativation and the rest is history lol. I had a tough time getting there, I had two flights cancelled so instead of arriving as planned on Wednesday I didn't get there until Friday. I had the time of my life and our booth did really well. I loved seeing all the new products.
I was going to do a team Wednesday instead of Tuesday this week and then I decided to stay with a friend the in Az with a friend until Wednesday. I got back got busy and here we are with team Saturday :)

For my card I used some Technique Junkies stamps, Harlequin Love and To The Moon and the Original MISTI you may ask why is mine blue, you can make yours blue too or white by using the stickers.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Versamark ink and then embossed it in gold. Anytime I emboss I always use my MISTI, this way you get a crisp embossed image, I also always use it when stamping on watercolor paper because of the texture.

Next I used distress oxides in Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick and blended them to achieve an ombre' effect. After I got them all blended then I spritzed with water.

For the Greeting the MISTI enabled me to partially emboss, I masked off the portion of the image I wanted to emboss in gold and stamped the remaining in black and then the opposite masked off the black and stamped with Versamark to emboss in gold.

Team Tuesday with Kia

Hello to all. Kia here with you today to share this card I did for Team Tuesday called Love is in the Air. I love birds and have a Cockatiel named CC. They are quite the characters which I tried to incorporate into this card.

I used my Mini Misti for this project, first stamping the images using Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black. In the video I have done for this you will see that I stamped several of the leaves, moving my paper, not the stamps. I do this as I watercolour them differently and this way I can pick the best for my card.
To paint the leaves and the birds I used Zig Clean Color Brushes.

For the background, I did what is known as the smooshing technique using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Lemonade, Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon, spritzed with water. I did 3 layers of colour, drying with my heat gun in between each layer, then die cut using the wonky rectangles die. Once finished I flicked on acrylic paint in yellow to the panel. I did a mini smooshing to the stacked hearts using Lemonade spritzed with water and dragging the die through the wet ink.

The panel is attached to the card base using foam tape. I glued on the stacked hearts, then styled and attached the birds and leaves adding in the flowers as if they were sequins.

Here is a close-up to show more of the details.

It was once I was done all of this that I remembered I did not stamp my sentiment. Misti to the rescue ... I put the card back in my Misti and did several passes with the ink, which is the Ripe Persimmon. As I am stamping on a hallow, the top of the t and h  from "the" did not stamp well, so I touched that part up with my ripe persimmon distress marker.

This video shows my process, I hope you enjoy it, and thank you for visiting My Sweet Petunia and Team Tuesday.

Altenew Arabesque Medallion

The winter in the Midwest started off pretty meek.  Our first snowfall was on Christmas morning.   Since then it has been cold.  Cold weather makes me stay indoors.   Especially, since I work from home there is no need to get out of my warm jammies.

I seem to get more crafting done during this time of the year.  Maybe since I had a great time on the last set of cards, I decided to just jump in and stamp without a plan.

I picked out a colors searching for winter color combinations.  Once I picked out my colors.  I stamped Altenew Arabesque Medallion onto a half sheet of Gina K white layering cardstock.  Once I stamped all my images, I played around with how to showcase the medallion.

This card was made with the cut offs from the first card pictured above.  I just fussy cut around the medallion.  I used the Congratulations die from Simon Says Stamp.

I cut this medallion in half and was able to make two cards with one medallion.  For the second one I had to fussy cut around the medallion and then mounted it with foam.

This card only uses one medallion.  I used Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangle frames to add some interest.  The sentiment comes from Gina K Peony Wishes.

This last card was with just scraps.  I used my favorite Thanks die from Honey Bee.  For all my cards I only embellished with Glossy Accents.  In all, I ended up with 21 cards.

If you want to see the last 3 cards be sure to watch the video.

Thanks for stopping by.
