Now, on to my card for today.
I think there are many of us that do not have breakfast in the morning, and I am one of those, along with many of my friends. Some of my best mornings are spent with friends over coffee, whether in person or on the phone. That is what this card represents.
For my background, I started by stamping Coffee to Go using embossing ink and Lindy's Midnight Copper Embossing Powder.
I then used Ken Oliver Color Burst in Lemon Yellow and Orange to do the panel, sprinkling the powder on my watercolour panel and spritzing with water, then moving back and forth and up and down to move the colour. I did 2 layers of colour.
Once dry, I die cut the panel using Frantic Stamper's Deckled Rectangle die and attached it to my card base on fun foam.
I die cut the Square Tangled Frames by Frantic Stamper using copper glitter paper. I then printed colour on vellum paper using my computer. The colour is a dark yellow shade, but I turned it over and used the opposite side as shown in the picture below. I measured the size I needed and cut it separate as the die cuts the inside, not outside. I glued it to the die cut glitter frame using matte glue.
Once I finished making the frame, I attached it to my card front and placed the card back in my Misti to stamp the sentiment, Breakfast Friends Forever from the Joy Clair Stamp Set of the same name, using Dew Drops Brilliance Crimson Copper Ink, which I set with my heat gun.
Thank you for visiting My Sweet Petunia today. I hope you enjoyed today's card, and look forward to seeing you throughout the month of March.
