Happy almost Thanksgiving Day! Today's blog hop is the brainchild of Lydia. We will be sharing why we are thankful for the MISTI.
I am so thankful that the MISTI has given me the opportunity to share my card making with everyone. It has brought so many people into my life. So, I guess I should say that I am most thankful for the MISTI for all the new friends I have made.
I feel like MISTI has allowed us to share or gift and love of card making with others. Every time a MISTI helps make a card, a recipient smiles and receives a little bit of joy and a whole lot of love.
For my card today, I used the Circle Doodle background stamp from Simon Says Stamps. I embossed it with Hero Arts Copper embossing powder. Then I just water colored it. The Grateful die cut was made with a Simon Says Stamp die.
As part of our blog hop we will be choosing one winner. The winner will get a choice of an Original or Mini MISTI. They will also get a second MISTI for someone they are grateful for. To participate in the giveaway, just leave a comment on all the blogs in the hop by Sunday. Winners will be posted on the Giveaway Winners tab on this blog on Monday.
Here are the other stops on out Thankful Blog Hop. Don't forget to leave a comment letting us know who you are grateful for.

LOOOOVE your card! I too like the stamp from SSS---Doodles Background! ;) I am thankful for a new friend I made not that long ago. I've lived here for 10 years---in the country--I'm a city girl removed to the country. It was definitely an adjustment for me--culture shock! It's kind of a back woods unfriendly place to be truthful.... I got into stamping because of the lack of friends. But, I made this friend recently, & she has me giving card making classes now at her home. I've showed her my Original Misti & she LOVES IT! I would LOOOOVE to present her with one of her own! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Like how you did this, I have that stamp and have tried a similar thing but with black embossing and pastel colors, I like how you did yours here.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card, I love how you created the background! I absolutely love the embossing! I am a huge fan of the MISTI and it is at the top of my wishlist! Thanks so much for be so generous with all of your giveaways, I'm sure I have entered them all :)

ReplyDeleteGreat card! Would be amazing to win a Misti for my daughter!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Card. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
ReplyDeleteGreat card and Thanks so much for making the MISTI I love Love Love it.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card, but it would only go to someone who would appreciate at the time that went into it! I'd love to have the original Misti to be able to use the extra large background stamps, which NEVER stamp well, even taking the paper to the stamp doesn't always work. I'd give the other one to my Mom. She has macular degeneration and I think that maybe the Misti would allow her to stamp again. She's always been my biggest fan and I love her to pieces.
ReplyDeleteThe Misti has been a blessing to the stamping
ReplyDeleteworld. So many times I'd have a card finished
and then stamp the sentiment - and it didn't
completely stamp. It's so hard to fix that.
Now I don't have to worry about how I'm going
to fix a boo-boo.
thanks for sharing a fantastic card.
Happy Thanksgiving.
I just love watching you work. Congratulations on creating the MISTI and its success, the more I see of it the more I see what an asset it would be and not just another fad.
ReplyDeleteWhile I would love to own one for myself, I would really love to be able to give to my sister, she had a stroke some years ago which left her physically impaired. She was a beautiful crafter painting, knitting, crochet and since the stroke she struggles to pick up a pen. I introduced her to stamping and she discovered that the stamp did most of the work though she still struggles to grasp some stamps and the Misti would be such a blessing and would do wonders for her self esteem.
I am thankful that God was not ready to take my sister home and that she has regained her independence. I am also grateful that there are generous people like yourself in this worl helping it to be a better place.
Happy thanksgiving to you and your family, enjoy each other and love oneanother ❤️🌻

ReplyDeleteThis card is just gorgeous! It may have taken a long time to make, but it is so worth the time and effort, as it turned out so beautiful. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this tool, don't know what I'd do without it now.

ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous and thank YOU for sharing your MISTI with the papercrafting community. Stamping has become so much easier, especially for those of us with shaky hands, diminishing eyesight, and less strength to get the image stamped right the first time. Two years ago I gifted my sweet sweet mother with one and my dear older friend with another. The joy I see in their eyes that they can still do their favorite hobby - it just gladdens my heart. I am thankful for my sister and would love to gift her with a MISTI as well. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

I have been a stamper/card maker for over 17 years and have seen many new products over that time. I remember when clear stamps came on the market, many said that they would be the death of the craft. I am grateful to everyone that has created a new product. I love my misti, I don't know how I manage before, I do know that there was a lot of wasted images before I got it right. I am even thinking of taking those old rubber wood mount stamps off the wood and trying them in the misti. Thankyou Maryann
ReplyDeleteYour card is awesome.

I was always frustrated with uncentered, blotchy images so gave up the hobby. The MISTI has brought me back to a hobby I love. Also, the memory MISTI has allowed be to get great stamped images on my scrapbook pages.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Love your tip on positioning the "for you" I am grateful to YOU for thinking of all us stampers and making such a unique product like the the MISTI. If I were to win, I would give the extra MISTI to my stamping partner in crime, my sister-in-law! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love geometric designs - this card is beautiful. I also love your idea for the stamp cleaner. What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteSuper card! I am grateful for all the fabulous ideas I learned along the hop. I am also grateful for all my stamping buddies who make stamping even more fun. I would love to share a MISTI with my friend, Teri.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the great tips on the hop! I haven't tried a MISTI yet, but it looks like something that would take my stamping up to the next level and make it even more fun.

ReplyDeleteI had a note to self to add to my comment that I'm thankful have the chance to gift a MISTI to my crafting bestie, Mary, who encourages me so much in my crafting endeavors! Don't see my original comment on how cool those circles are in those colors... so I'll say it again... they're awesome! : )
