Team Tuesday with Mindy Eggen!

Welcome everyone! This is Mindy Eggen and I'm thrilled to be sharing some inspiration with you today! I'll be using the My Monthly Hero Kit from September 2019. I am a huge fan of Halloween so most of these cards have a Halloween feel to them. My last couple cards are just really fun lol.

VIDEO DETAILS

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

CARD DETAILS

My first card features quite a few of the new products that were released in September.

I first start out with ink blending Key Lime Fizz and Blue Raspberry Reactive Ink onto White card stock using Life Changing Blender Brushes. Once dry, I spritz with water to add some interest.

Next, I die cut the Spider Web Window from Pitch Black card stock and adhere over my ink blended background. The Happy Halloween is from the My Monthly Hero kit and die cut from Pixie Dust card stock.

I added images that I had stamped with my Misti Tool and colored with my copic markers using I See Crafting and Pure Magic stamp set.

I love how it looks like the background is glowing behind the web.

My next card is featuring the Peek-A-Boo Drawers Fancy die and stamp set. This is what drew me into the kit. This card is a little more work but love the look!

I started my card a little backwards than most. First, I die cut my Peek-A-Book Drawers from Pitch Black card stock. Then using my Misti Stamping Tool and Misti Corners, I lined up the coordinating stamp set. I found this much easier to get my image to line up with the die cut.

I stamped the image with Embossing Ink onto the die cut panel and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.

I stamped handles/labels onto each of the windows with Embossing Ink and heat embossed those in Gold Embossing Powder as well.

On a piece of white card stock, I ink blended the same color combination as I did in a previous card. Once that was dry, I lined my ink blended panel into my Misti and using the die cut piece as a guide, I started added images that would fit in those drawers. I used images from the stamp set in the kit, and I See Crafting. You'll get a better idea what I'm talking about when you see it in the video.

When I had all the images lined up, I removed the front piece which is the Peek-A-Boo panel, closed the door of my Misti to pick up all the stamps at once and stamped the images with Versafine Ink onto my ink blended panel.

When I had all the spaces filled, I added the Peek-A-Boo panel with Liquid glue. The Peek-A-Boo die embosses lines so you can fold up the windows and show the inside. Then I can add this panel to an A2 size notecard and add a message inside.

My last set of cards is not really Halloween related but really cool. For these, I'm using the Add-ons that were released with the kit including Bug Collection and the Color Layering Moth.

I have two different versions of the moth. One of them I stamped in Forest, Lime Green and Dusty Blue which I had received in previous kits. My other moth is stamped in Blue Raspberry, Pool Party and Thistle Reactive Inks.

To make them sparkle and shine, I inked the entire image with Embossing ink and heat embossed with Sparkle Embossing Powder. Then used the coordinating die to cut them out.

I thought the Bug Collection background stamp was really cool. It reminded me of the bug collections we used to have to do in Science Class.

I stamped the background stamp onto Kraft card stock, once in Cocoa ink and once in Sand Stone ink. When using red rubber stamps with the Misti tool, you will need to remove the foam insert as the rubber stamps already have that cushion.

I originally tried to stamp the sentiment in black ink onto the front panels but it got lost in the background so I stamped then onto White card stock and added to the front instead.

My colorful moths are added to the front with foam squares for dimension.

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration using the My Monthly Hero Kit! Remember, the kit is only available while supplies last so if you like the Peek-A-Boo drawers, you'll want to grab this kit!
