I remember the shock and awe of Altenew's first release and the huge splash they made with their unique, elegant designs.
Fast forward, literally - five years and it's their anniversary. How does that happen?
I'm helping to celebrate that amazing accomplishment by a thriving small business today with a fun hybrid card and a video.
I say hybrid because the focus of the card is this gorgeous mask, but I then used the masked space for zentangling. I used this amazing new stencil spray in an effort to test it when used with messy watercolor, and it performed unbelievably well, preserving the shape perfectly against my Infusions and sprayed water and dabbing.
I'm a huge fan. It's a very light low tack adhesive that can be used over and over. It washes off with just water if you like that sort of thing - but I'm just going to leave it on for next time.
I should have known when Iliana told me it was a must have that it was a must have. She's great at spotting new products.
The colors I used were Are you Cerise, A Bit Jaded and Orange County. You'll see how it comes together in the video below. I used a Copic Multiliner to do the tangling, and added some white enamel dots to finish it off. The die cut is from this bundle.
Here's the video of this quick process and an overview of the spray.
