Background Leaves

Good morning!  Kia here with you today and I would like to share this clean
and simple card with you. When I write letters, I cannot just stick the letter
in an envelope and mail it, I have to enclose it in a card.  I made this
card for that purpose.
One of the things I love most about my Misti, is how simple it now is
to stamp the large background stamps.  Using Fabriano watercolour
paper and my original Misti, I inked the large stamp with Tim Holtz
Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron, two of my
favourite colours,  and spritzed with water.  I like the textures I get
using this technique, so I did not do a second stamp.  If I wanted
a smoother look, I would ink it up again. Once my panel was dry,
I die cut using the Memory Box Scallop Stitch Trimmings and
added the twine, then added foam strips to attach to my card base.
A few green dew drops finished my card.
I hope you enjoy this card and would like to thank you for dropping by the
My Sweet Petunia Blog today.

  5. I'm the same way! Nothing goe out on a simple piece of paper or a plain, naked envelope =) It needs a little dressing up too!
