Team Tuesday - with Fabiola Giardinaro

We are so excited to introduce one of the newest members of the My Sweet Petunia Design Team, Fabiola Giardinaro! Fabiola lives in beautiful Catania, Sicily, in a seaside village at the foot of Mount Etna. A geologist by training and a full-time mom by heart, she shares her creative life with her husband and two children, Giorgia and Mattia. Fabiola began her creative journey in 2014 with scrapbooking but quickly fell in love with stamping—and especially coloring. What started as curiosity soon became a true passion, and alcohol markers have been a constant companion in her creative world ever since.

Known in the crafting community as Shabby Lab, Fabiola’s style is romantic, vintage, shabby chic, and beautifully color balanced. She is a colorist card maker at heart, with a special love for stamps featuring sweet animals and children, and she is well known for her innovative 3D die-coloring technique that gives die cuts new life through marker shading. Fabiola brings years of experience as a design team member for major crafting brands, a love of teaching and experimenting with new techniques, and a deep appreciation for tools that make creativity easier—like the MISTI. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team and can’t wait for you to be inspired by her beautiful projects!

Hello creative friends and here I am on my first Team Tuesday with a project for the end of the year, which is placeholders for our table and welcome 2026.

I started by stamping with my MISTI the stamps that I decided to color, which is CC Design.

Then colored with OLO alcohol markers.

Then I chose a box die by Tommy Design, where inside I will put biscuits or salty or sweet, which I stamped with the new MISTI Lite. I also used the Magnetic Platform together with the Power Mug and Mini Pawns that allowed me to move freely without any problems and lock my project in the desired position. Then I die cut 2026 of the Creative Couple with gold cardboard and assembled it all together.

I just have to match the different characters to each placeholder and you're done.

Thank you for joining me on my first Team Tuesday!  Here's a little video of the finished project!
