Hello Everyone!
It's Ceal, here to share with you today for Team Tuesday. I don't know about you but I am still working on my Christmas cards. There is no way I would be as far as I am without the MISTI. I really don't know I stamped without it, especially using layering stamps like this one by Altenew.
Altenew is one of my favorite stamp companies but only because I own a Misti, there is no way I could layer their stamps correctly with out it.
To create this card, I started with a white top folding card base, a black panel cut the same A2 size for the mat and a white panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. The stamp set I used is Peaceful Wreath by Altenew.
To create the wreath which is two sections I placed the white panel inside the Misti and placed the first leaf layer of the wreath on top and picked it up with the door of the Misti. I inked the first layer in Altenew's Firefly ink and then flipped the panel and repeated the process. The next layer of the leaves I stamped using their Shadow Creek ink. These are two of their new colors in the Green Valley oval set, which makes for a beautiful Christmas green. For the berries, I used the same process and used Altenew's ink in Crimson and Velvet which are in the Red Sunset oval set.
I used the coordinating dies to the Peaceful Wreath set to cut out the word peace three times and stacked them together to give it dimension. I thought it needed a little sparkle so I added some shimmer with a Nuvo glitter pen and also added some shine to the berries using Crystalline drops by Gina K, I love these drops because they are like glossy accents but they never clog up!
Ceal, this is so pleasing. It makes me happy.
