My Sweet Petunia

Who says clean and simple can't be full of personality? 🍕 Today on the My Sweet Petunia blog, Design Team member Deniz Do is serving up a card that's equal parts clever and cute! Featuring an adorable pizza-themed design, Deniz shows how the Petunia Platform, Pawn Magnets, and MISTI Lite work together to make positioning layers, aligning sentiments, and creating perfectly balanced layouts effortless. Hello everyone, Deniz here! Summer is in full swing, and I was in the mood for a fun, punny CAS card! This one features the Sweet & Savoury dies and sentiments from Spellbinders. 

Cut a light green card panel and a smaller square from darker green cardstock.

Die-cut and assemble the pizza with pepperoni, green peppers and black olives. I lightly ink-blended the edges of the cheese, then added a second cheese layer slightly offset underneath for a little extra dimension.

Add Simon Says Stamp foam tape behind the pizza and green square. I love this foam tape because it is slightly thinner, so it adds dimension without creating too much bulk.

Lightly draw vertical and horizontal center lines on the card panel. Use the My Sweet Petunia platform with the Pear Blossom Press T-Ruler to position the square evenly. The pawn magnets are so helpful for keeping the ruler and cardstock securely in place while adhering everything.

One of my favourite things about working on the platform is that I can arrange everything before gluing, then lift and tilt it to make sure the placement looks just right.

Add the MISTI Lite to the platform and stamp the punny sentiment. It makes positioning and getting a crisp impression so easy. 

Finish by adhering the completed panel to an A2 card base. A simple card with a big slice of happy! Let me know - what are your favourite pizza toppings?
