Thermoweb, Picket Fence & MISTI Trifecta + Giveaways

Today we are doing three-way collaboration with two of our favorite companies - Picket Fence Studios and Thermoweb!

Be sure and visit both of their blogs for tons of designer inspiration in our hop today, and comment for a chance to win $25 shopping sprees from all three of us!

Thermoweb has some things that are ALWAYS close at hand in my craft room. Pixie Spray, which is a must for stencils - it's puts a very light tack on the back of your stencils so they stay in place during ink blending and can be used many times with one application. It's magical because it doesn't make them too sticky for storage, etc. so no need to clean it off!

Then, I love these large glue dots - I have used literally THOUSANDS of these, adhering half pans of watercolor into palettes for my Daniel Smith watercolor split group. They are so neat and tidy and have an incredibly strong bond on the slick surfaces I'm using them on. Love them.

I also happen to love my favorite thing at Thermoweb - Sue Doherty, who is just a peach and the genius behind their product development - she is a lovely person.

So I'm using two really fun things together on today's card - the toner sticker sheets, which are amazing and on a HUGE sale right now - and turn all your dies into foiling dies - and then this stunning marbled blue foil.

I used the Picket Fence Studios trees die and cut the toner sheet with it. See how the textured die comes through these so perfectly? Love. I removed the backing from the toner sheet and stuck the trees down on my card. Then I put the blue foil on, pretty side up, and ran it through my mini foil machine. Peel off the excess foil and huzzah! Shiny blue trees with the texture from the die clearly visible. Foiling is the new embossing I think because it makes me squee!

Nestled under these gorgeous, magical trees is this sweet unicorn, colored to match! The sentiment is from the same set, and it does come with coordinating dies. I set them up in my MISTI together, so it was an extremely quick card!

I did my best to capture its sparkly wonderment with my camera but that's a tall order!

  6. SO cute! But I'm not getting how the foiling thing works. I have a laminator... and I get how to use the foil with toner. But I'll have to go find a video on how to do it with the toner sticker sheets! I want to foil more!
