Team Tuesday with Susan: Shifted Emboss Resist with W Plus 9 Designs Tropic Fever

Hi,
Susan here on the blog today showing how to use your MISTI to do some offset stamping! I know the coloring challenge is going on right now but I have really wanted to play with this Tropic Fever stamp set and do some stamping of florals as well.

I offset this stamp because I wanted to achieve a softer look. I first stamped the background from Tropic Fever with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then shifted the card stock over and up 1/4" or one square up and one square over in my original MISTI. I, then, inked the background stamp up again but this time with Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink. It might seem strange to emboss and then stamp but essentially this is a shifted embossed resist. I needed to do this because even with heat setting, it takes forever for white pigment ink to dry here in swampy Florida!

I have a video below showing how I did the offset stamping and the rest of the card making process.

Susan
