Taylored Expression with MISTI

I was quite flattered when Taylored Expressions contacted me to do a video using their cling mounted stamps.  Butterflies zoomed around in my stomach at the opportunity.

I had never owned their stamps and was amazed at the quality.  The stamps come on this plastic sheet with pre-punched holes to store in a binder.  Simply Stamped Tulips had a combination of sentiments that caught my eye.

At first I was planning to do an Easter card, but I did not allow enough space for the sentiment.  So now I am prepared for Mother's Day.  It's a little early but time is valuable right now and that is at least one thing I can mark off my to do list.

My mom has always loved plants and flowers.  I love them too but I do not possess the green thumb that she has.   My mom can grow anything.  She can take a stem and make it sprout roots.  We do share the crafty gene.   Growing up I remember my mom crocheting, sewing, flower arranging and making ceramics.

The last time she came for a visit was when I was still packing boxes in my home and I was transitioning to a fulfillment center.  I had flown her up to help me because I was scheduled to work full time for two weeks.  She stayed for three weeks and I was too tired to teach her to stamp.  Her next visit I will induct her into the MISTI community.

Thanks to the wonderful people at Taylored Expressions for helping me make my mom an awesome card by sending me these beautiful stamps.   Here is the video that I prepared for them.

  1. Really helpful video! I have a lot of red rubber, so this will come in handy.

  2. Very cool. I've always felt at a disadvantage with the rubber stamps, so this was a revelation. Thanks for the tip!

  3. Beautiful card and informative technique video!!!! Works like a charm!!!! Thanks for sharing!
    Paper Hugs,

  4. This is so beautiful Iliana. Your MISTI is made for these beautiful stamps!

  5. Love my Misti and generally have avoided buying these kinds of stamps but you made it look so easy so maybe I will see what is available here in the UK. Thank you for sharing this technique.

  6. Thanks for your great video. I have several taylored expression stamps and love them. They are a great quality.

  7. Beautiful card. . .such rich colors. . .and I'm sure the MISTI helped with that. I'm lovin' my MISTI. I'm going to add some acrylic inserts so I can stamp off the edges of the paper to the left and bottom when you only want to stamp part of your stamp onto the edges of the paper so it does not shift, which it can do as it isn't butted up against the casing edges. I LOVE the rich colors and thorough stamping you can get because you can stamp more than one time and it ends up right EVERYTIME!

  8. Gorgeous card and brilliant video, thank you! xxx

  9. You did a beautiful job on the Tulips....Love the colors you chose...Have a great day....

  10. Beautiful card. Thanks for the video. I just bought that stamp set. NOW, I need MISTI. Not sure if I want the regular or mini one.

  11. Beautiful card. I will be going through my red rubber stamps to try this method out. What would be a good substitution for the mentioned imaging sheet? A transparency? A piece of vellum? Just wondered.

Thank you for taking the time to comment.
