In my quest to use up my supplies, I made a simple card for a nephew's birthday. He is only three so it didn't need to be fancy. It was a last minute party and I had to just slap something together.
I used Cosmo Cricket pattern paper from the Social Club 6 x 6 paper pad. The stamp set is called Love Ya Silly from Close to my Heart.
The stamp set for the party hat is an older Hero Arts set called Wonderful Birthday. I keep it around because of the large Happy Birthday sentiment. I used Jungle pigment ink from Avery Elle. The googlie eyes were from Joann's.
I plan to make this card again. Substituting the paper for something a little girly, would make a cute little girl card. This card uses the same design I used a few weeks back for Father's Day. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Speaking of keeping it simple....
Catherine Pooler calls this a KISS card (Keep It Simple Stamper) She is a super sweet and has given me three, one month memberships to Stamp Nation. Please leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway. I will close the giveaway on Sunday, August 16, 2015.

ReplyDeleteCute card! And KISS cards are a life-saver sometimes. Thanks for the chance to check out Stamp Nation, it sounds awesome but I have never signed up for it before.
ReplyDeleteI love green anything! So I naturally love this card! Plus my daughter is 4.5 years old and into anything dinosaur or monster so of course it is right up my alley! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI don't know a lot about Stamp Nation, but I would love the opportunity to learn about it and new techniques.

ReplyDeleteSo stinkin' cute. Love cards for kids. How awesome of Catherine Pooler to offer these free memberships.
ReplyDeleteThe care is very cute and I like that you didn't go crazy overboard for a young child. I have done in the past and then question my sanity if no one appreciates it.
ReplyDeleteI love your card! I especially like how you "just go with it" in your creative process! It's really adorable!

ReplyDeleteAnn
Really cute. I really need to relax and learn to do kiss cards.
ReplyDeleteLove this card. I have so many little ones who would appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you used older papers and stamps. Those of us who have been stamping for a long time have a supply of each and may feel the stamps or papers don't go well with today's trends. Your card - which is great BTW - shows older is just as good, if not better, than new. Thanks for the MISTI (good for arthritic and shaky hands) and a great card today.
ReplyDeleteso cute. sure your nephew loved it.
ReplyDeleteIliana, your card is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteAs long as I have been subscribed to Catherine Pooler, I have wanted to join Stamp Nation! Unfortunately it isn't in my budget to do so as yet but I hope to one day join. I think it would be a great resource!
