Team Tuesday with Giovana : Merry Christmas Card Set

Hello friends!! Giovana here today, bringing you a cute and easy set of Christmas cards using brand new stamps from Concord & 9th and of course my MISTI.

So let's get started:
  • Cut Ivory Cardstock, size 3.75" x 5", position your cardstock on your MISTI using a bit of tape to avoid movement. Then stamp your backgrounds using Plaid Background stamp.
  •  After that, stamp the fine lines, I did 3 using Gold Embossing Powder and 3 using Brown ink.
  •  They will look like this.
  •  Adhere the plaid backgrounds to Kraft card bases. Add foam adhesive to the Ribbon Banner die-cuts. Die-cut boughs in different colors from Take a Bough Die set, add them to card, add a little red bow.

Here is a look of 3 of the cards.

Hope you like my cards.
Have a fantastic and crafty day!

Welcome to the 4th annual Justine Hovey's 12 Days of Christmas Video Hop.  I am so excited to participate.  The series runs from today to November 4th.  Justine has arranged various prizes from different sponsors.

This is the perfect way to get motivated to start preparing for sending out Christmas cards.

For my card today, I used all Simon Says Stamp exclusive stamp sets.  I started with Holiday Background on kraft cardstock.  Next I added Wow! Coconut Ice embossing powder and heat set it.

For my Christmas tree I used Color Me Trees onto colored cardstock and used various Copics to color it in.  For the banner and sentiment I used the Give Thanks stamp set.  To finish up my card, I used clear Wink of Stella and added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Now for the fun part.... THE GIVEAWAYS!

  • 5 gift certificates to Simon Says Stamp for $10
  • 3 sets of 10 Christmas cards made by Justine Hovey
  • A choice of Mini or Original MISTI

Altenew Crafty Friends Blog Hop

Hey everyone! Lydia here for the Altenew Crafty Friends Blog Hop! If you came here from Agnieszka's blog you're in the right place! We are getting together today just to celebrate our crafty community, and all the joy it has brought into our lives. I can't tell you how grateful I am to have so many amazing people come into my life over a little ink. Pure joy.

May Park is one of those friends. She is a complete treasure, and I never would have met her if it hadn't been for Altenew, so it's a lot of fun to be here today.

I have two very differently styled projects for you today - which is one of the things I love about Altenew's range - it has something for everyone.

The first project is a watercolor card using the Under the Cherry Blossom Tree stamp set. This is a layering set, but I didn't just want to stamp it because I do so love watercolored cherry blossoms. So first I stamped the branch image in Rocky Shore ink. Then I watercolored it to fuzz it out a bit. Then I repeated that with the blossoms in Cotton Candy ink. I did the same with the outline of the branch - this is cool because it also stamps the center of the flowers - in Espresso. Finally I added some Caribbean Sky around the branch. I love the soft look of this image when it's watercolored.

For my sentiment - I wanted it to blend in with the background, so I used their Calligraphy Alpha dies just to make it dimensional, but with no color. The watercolor paper is Fabriano.

The next one is from the VERY graphic and fun Modern Cat bundle. The stamps in this set are stunning and elegant, but I needed a sympathy card, and so I thought I could give a sense of absence to the card with just the matching dies.

Team Tuesday with Maria Sabina

Hello there,

It's Maria ,here with a new card for Team Tuesday. Who loves foxes? I do! My dad actually calls me foxy and I spend a few good hours sitting on a chair. I got a bit inspired by this real story to create a cute foxy card.

I love bold stamping and the MISTI from My Sweet Petunia is the best tool to get the exact result. I like to double stamp or even do it extra sometimes, for a clean and bold look.

The fox stamp and sentiment are from Studio Katia called: Foxes / And the fox says .  I also used the new Bar Magnet from My Sweet Petunia. They are super strong!

If you don't like coloring your stamped images, using markers or coloring pencils, then invest in bold stamps and ink pads. As you can see the result is pretty nice!

I hope you enjoy today's card!  Sending you all hugs!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Team Tuesday with Ceal

Hi there and welcome to team Tuesday!
It's Ceal, here today to share a card using some Altenew stamps and of course the MISTI.
But before I share let me remind you that the winner from the Kitchen Sinks stamps bloghop will be announced here today so be on the lookout for that!
Now for the details on my card.
I used the new Build a Flower Rose set by Altenew and y'all this rose has 6 layers! could you imagine stamping this rose without a MISTI? talk about wasting lots of cardstock.
Here are the step progression pictures of the gorgeous rose.

There is no way I would have ever bought this set if I didn't have a Misti.
To make my card I placed a scrap piece of cardstock in the Mini Misti and stamped all the layers in different hues of blue ink by Altenew. Next I stamped the leaves which is a 4 step progression in different hues of gray ink by Altenew. For the leaves I did things a little different, I started with the last layer and went backwards, sometimes it's just easier for me to samp it that way.

I created a background using a stencil by Simon Says Stamp. When I am using a stencil then I always use the Original Misti  and the new Bar Magnets to hold the stencil.

I used the coordinating dies to cut out the rose and one leaf, the other leaf I stamped directly on the card front and the popped up the rose and the other leaf I had cut out. When you stamp one thing directly on your card front or panel and then pop the others up it gives it more of a 3D look.
