A Thankful Bloom with Precision Placement

✂️🌸 When a single flower says it all, the right tools make the details shine!

Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a CAS card featuring two of my favorite crafty companions: the MISTI and the Precision Glue Press from My Sweet Petunia.

I’ve always admired the look of colorful strip borders, but honestly? Adhering those tiny pieces used to be a gluey, crooked mess. Enter the Precision Glue Press—game changer! Even with the narrowest strips, it places glue exactly where I need it, no smudges, no stress. I recently made a card with strips half the size of these, and the Glue Press handled it beautifully.

And here’s something that really amazed me: during a hectic stretch this past year, I misplaced the glue cap. Several weeks went by where I didn’t use the Glue Press, but because the bottle sat snugly in its stand, the glue still flowed when I came back! At most, I had to clear the nozzle with a quick pin, and it was good as new. Dependability like that is essential in our craft rooms!

For this card, I stamped a tall flower using my MISTI (with the sticky mat inside), which made it easy to adjust the bloom until the script “thankful” stem lined up just right. From there, I cut strips of cardstock in maroon, pink, yellow, dark teal, and light blue, and thanks to the Precision Glue Press, it was effortless to adhere them perfectly side by side. No juggling caps, no sticky fingers—just clean placement every time.

To finish, I sprinkled a few yellow and black gems around the flower for a touch of sparkle.

I’m so grateful for tools that make the creative process smoother—and more fun. Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping (and gluing)! πŸ’›

MISTI Magic for Halloween

 Hello friends!

I have a fun Halloween project to share with you today featuring the Open if You Dare set by SweetMissDaisy Designs. I created two cards and a coordinating bookmark—and I have to admit, the bookmark is staying with me!

To start, I die-cut three coffin-shaped tags. I placed them all on a sticky mat inside my Original Teal MISTI and positioned a different image on each one. With just one round of inking, I stamped all three tags at once—a huge time saver!

Next, it was time for sentiments. I reached for my trusty Mini MISTI, tucked a banner die cut inside, and aligned the sentiment perfectly to fit. In no time, I had two crisp, sentiment banners ready to go.

Card One – Cute Dracula

For my first card, I featured the cutest little Dracula. I had so much fun coloring him, right down to matching the tag reinforcement ring with his outfit. I even added a fluffy chenille ribbon to the tag for a fun texture.

For the background, I trimmed a 4x4 piece of patterned paper from the SweetMissDaisy Ghostly Paper Pack, then cut it diagonally to create two triangles. I adhered them at the top and bottom of my card base for a bold frame.

Using my Cut-Align Ruler, I centered the coffin tag with the help of the “0 center” feature—perfect alignment every time! To finish, I popped up the sentiment banner for a touch of dimension.  I used an alignment grid over the sentiment strip to verify its exact alignment.

Card Two—Spooked Ghost

My next card stars the sweetest little ghost, colored in soft shades of purple. I took the coffin tag with the stamped ghost back to the Mini MISTI and added a spider at the top—I just couldn’t resist! Now, it looks like the spider startled her, and I love that playful touch.

I used the same layout as my first card, with patterned paper from the Ghostly Pack, but this time I added a solid piece of purple cardstock in the center to tie in with the coloring. The tag and reinforcement were inked using Seedless Preserves Distress Ink, and a purple chenille ribbon finishes the look. Just like before, I popped up the sentiment banner to complete the card.

Bookmark – Halloween Kitty

My final project is a coffin-shaped tag bookmark—this one’s just for me! No surprise to my regular readers, I chose the kitty image. To give it a sturdier finish, I layered a black coffin tag behind the stamped one. I colored the tag reinforcement to match the kitty and added a black-and-white chenille ribbon to complete it!

I hope these projects inspire you to create your own Halloween treats. The MISTI makes multiple-item projects a breeze, and I love how quick and fun these came together. Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Little Things

The MISTI is, hands down, my most important tool in the stamp room! Today’s vintage-inspired butterfly card is a perfect example of why. The patterned paper I chose has a soft sheen, which can make direct stamping a little tricky. Thankfully, the MISTI kept everything perfectly aligned—even with a large background stamp like the "Received Ledger" by SweetMissDaisy Dsigns. Since that stamp required multiple inkings, I couldn’t have done it without the MISTI holding everything steady.

After finishing the background, I stamped and fussy-cut the delicate butterflies from the "She Began to Fly" set by SweetMissDaisy Designs. I adore the sweet little details on each one—they bring a charming touch to a design like this. For the sentiment, I reached for my Mini MISTI. Its smaller footprint makes it ideal for lining up the “little things,” such as greetings.

And what a perfect message it is: In the Little Things is the Greatest Joy.

Twinkling Lights Santa and MISTI Magic!

πŸŽ„Twinkling Lights Santa – Two Festive Looks (and MISTI Magic!)

Hello, creative friends!
Today I’m sharing two festive cards featuring the absolutely adorable Twinkling Lights Santa stamp set from SweetMissDaisy Designs. These cards may look different, but they share the same joyful base—The Twinkling Lights Santa, cheerful gingham paper, and lots of sparkle! And behind the scenes, I used one of my favorite tools to make it all come together: the Original Teal MISTI!

From crisp stamping to perfect sentiment placement, the MISTI made these cards a total joy to create. Let me walk you through the details!

πŸŽ… Card 1: Twinkling in Red

For this cheerful card, I placed the Twinkling Lights Santa stamp into my Original Teal MISTI and used it to get a perfectly clean impression. I love how the MISTI lets me stamp multiple times for a deeper color without ever losing alignment!

This delightful Santa is accented with light twinkle hash line stamps—there are four of them in the set, which made it easy to position them on the MISTI lid and stamp four at one time!  Using my Sticky Mat, I kept the card panel secure while stamping those extra details right where I wanted them.

To create a polished top edge, I used the 0 Center Cut Align Ruler from the MISTI Accessories to perfectly place a scalloped red gingham border from the Holiday Mini Gingham Paper Pack. The alignment grids helped me add the sentiment with flawless placement!

πŸ’™ Card 2: Santa Goes Red, White & Blue

My second card features the same Santa, but this time with a fresh twist: a red, white, and blue Christmas theme! Once again, I turned to my Original Teal MISTI to stamp a crisp image of Santa holding his twinkling light strand. I colored all blue lights on this one to coordinate with a scalloped blue gingham border along the bottom.

The “Ho Ho Hello” sentiment was stamped directly onto the card base using the MISTI’s alignment grids, getting it straight and centered in one easy step. I love how this layout flips the composition while keeping all the charm.

✨ A Little Help from My MISTI

Here’s how the MISTI tools made this project smooth and stress-free:

  • 🩡 Original Teal MISTI: for perfectly clean stamping on both cards

  • πŸ”² Sticky Mats: held my panels securely for all the layered stamping

  • πŸ“ 0 Center Cut Align Ruler: made adding those gingham borders a breeze

  • 🧭 MISTI Grids: helped align the sentiments with total precision

These tools don’t just save time—they boost confidence. I knew each element would land just where I wanted it, and that left me free to enjoy the creative process.

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope these cards bring a little sparkle to your day—and show how tools like the MISTI can elevate your stamping game with every press

Starlight & Sticky Mats: Cardmaking with Precision

The newest SweetMissDaisy Designs release is brimming with sweet holiday cheer, and since I adore making Christmas cards, I’m diving headfirst into Christmas in July! πŸŽ„✨

For this festive card, I decided to go a little off the beaten path and embrace a warm, honey-yellow color palette. Using Distress Inks and stencils, I created a glowing background and added some shimmer by heat-embossing over the top. Once the background was dry, I popped it into my Original MISTI with a Sticky Mat to hold everything perfectly in place.

I stamped the star and gingerbread border three times across the background, setting the stage for my star of the show—this absolutely adorable angel! I stamped her on a separate layer and colored her in a soft Sunflower Yellow and Blue Gray combo that makes her really shine. Isn’t she darling with her little gingerbread buddy and starry attire?

The sentiment banner is quite small, so I returned to my Sticky Mat to make sure nothing shifted during stamping. To ensure perfect alignment, I used my Alignment Grids—crooked sentiments are unacceptable!

This charming angel was a joy to color thanks to the MISTI and My Sweet Petunia tools; she magically enhances holiday cardmaking!

Tools I love and use often:

UnFROGettable!

Hello, friends!
I’m hopping by with this Unfrogettable birthday card—see what I did there? πŸ˜‰ This adorable frog and his tiny fly friends make for such a happy scene; I couldn’t resist the punny stamp set name!

As always, I reached for my MISTI and other trusty tools from My Sweet Petunia. I use them on every card I make, regardless of how simple or detailed. Even with something as small as the little flies on this card. Before owning a MISTI, I used an acrylic block for all the details, but it frequently resulted in incomplete images or messy smudges. The MISTI is revolutionary.

Thanks to the MISTI, I no longer have those annoying stamping fails!
Everything lines up beautifully, and I get a crisp impression every time—even with the tiniest stamps!

It was such fun to position this happy frog so that he is peeking around the background layer to say hi! And of course, I added the whimsical flies—because frogs love flies, right?

To finish things off, I added the sentiment:
“Wishing you a Ribbiting and Unfrogettable Birthday!” πŸΈπŸŽ‰

One of my favorite things about using the MISTI is how easy it is to make multiples. I positioned the “Handmade especially for you” sentiment on the MISTI and quickly stamped the backs of several cards. On this card, I even added a few of those same whimsical flies for a little front-and-back coordination!

Other My Sweet Petunia tools that help me make (almost) every card include the Sticky Mats, Mini MISTI, Cut Align Ruler, and Alignment Grids. They take the guesswork out of crafting and make it easier to enjoy the process!

Thanks so much for stopping by—I hope you have a truly Unfrogettable day! πŸ’š

Inky Borders & Beautiful Bonds

Hi friends!

Today I’m featuring the adorable Sisters and Friends stamp set, along with the Small Backgrounds set by SweetMissDaisy Designs.  I created a cheerful border using the background stamps and Salty Ocean Distress Inks.

The Small Backgrounds set includes four charming designs, each about 2 inches long, perfect for building a continuous pattern. I used a Sticky Mat in my Original MISTI and placed the floral background stamp at the 3-inch mark on the grid.  I’m so thankful for my MISTIs—this detailed stamp needed to be inked and stamped twice with Distress Ink to get a complete, crisp impression.

Keeping the stamp in place on the MISTI lid, I simply moved the paper up 2 inches to align the next section, and then down several inches to extend the pattern the length of the cardstock. Easy peasy with the right tools!

Once the background border was complete, I adhered it to a top-fold card base. Then I stamped one of the sweet girls from the Sisters and Friends set and added the sentiment to finish the card.

Easter Fun with MISTI

Affiliate links used when possible at no charge to you!

Stamping Made Easy with the MISTI!
I love crafting with my MISTI; its precision and paper-saving abilities are invaluable. When using an acrylic block, I've frequently encountered partial impressions or accidental ink smudges. That means all that careful stamping (and sometimes detailed coloring!) goes to waste.

For this card, I had already fully colored my image when I decided to add the butterfly. Thanks to my Mini MISTI, I stamped it confidently without the fear of making a precision error on my already completed work. I would have been heartbroken if a simple stamping mishap had ruined all that effort!

My Mini MISTI is my best friend as I’m crafting in a small space while waiting for home renovations to begin. It’s compact, reliable, and makes stamping stress-free!

Products I Love & Use regularly!

Sticky Mat Magic

Hello, creative friends!

I love using My Sweet Petunia Sticky Mats in my crafting projects. They’ve become an essential tool, especially when working with large cling stamps like the charming Penny Black Resting Picket Fence.

Here’s how I used the Sticky Mat to create a beautifully stamped image:

Getting Started

Since the Resting Picket Fence is a large cling stamp, I knew it would require multiple impressions to achieve full coverage. That’s where the Sticky Mat came to the rescue! I placed it inside my Teal MISTI, topped it with the cardstock, and stamped it. With the Sticky Mat holding everything securely, I stamped several times for a full-coverage, crisp image.

Adding Personal Touches

I colored the birds as little Purple House Finches. These adorable birds bring joy to my day as I watch them out the window, so I couldn’t resist adding them to this project. I love the result—vibrant and heartwarming—just like the view outside!

Pro Tip: Using a New Sticky Mat

If you’re using a new Sticky Mat, here’s a handy tip to avoid tearing or bending your cardstock:

Instead of pulling the paper off the mat, bend the mat away from the cardstock to release it. This technique works like a charm, especially with a new mat.

What I Love about Sticky Mats
  • They provide a firm grip, ensuring the paper stays in place during stamping.
  • They’re versatile and reusable, making them a brilliant investment.
  • Paired with the MISTI, they make achieving perfect impressions a breeze.

Another Way To Use Stamping Templates

Hello Friend,

Wendy here to share with you a new way to use your MISTI Stamping Templates. Not too long ago I created some fun stamping templates using the MISTI Sticky Mats.

You can see that tutorial HERE.

For this card, we used the stamping template to stamp an image in a circle vs a sentiment.

I used a fun stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps and colored the image with colored pencils on a kraft cardstock.

Hey There, Sunshine!

**Our team uses affiliate links at no charge to you**

Hey there sunshine, thanks for joining us. I highlight one of my favorite MISTI uses today. I love watercolor and the MISTI helps me achieve precisely stamped images on textured paper.

I placed a Sticky Mat in the Original Teal MISTI and then stamped the sunflower multiple times. The paper stayed in place as I re-stamped it numerous times. I also stamped the sentiment on textured watercolor paper using a Mini MISTI. My favorite mediums become effortless with MISTI tools, and I love it!

Waiting for Your Sparkle

**Our team uses affiliate links at no charge to you!**

Hello! Today I share several ways the MISTI adds sparkle to a creative session!

First, I made a background by placing a Grid Mat inside my Original Black MISTI. Next, I put a piece of cardstock in the middle of the Grid Mat. Then I placed the dotted stencil over the cardstock and pressed the stencil edges onto the Grid Mat. I love this technique for stenciling because it holds the stencil in place without tapes or sprays! When the mat is very new, I press the mat away from the cardstock to remove the cardstock without tearing.

The MISTI absolutely sparkles during the next step. I placed the silhouette stamp on the stenciled background. Since this is a clear stamp, it takes multiple stampings to achieve a solid image. I would never have been able to stamp this image repeatedly with precision using an acrylic block! Last, I used my Mini MISTI for the sentiment.

You and I

Hello!  Today I am sharing a fun tip when using stencils.

**Affiliate links may be used at no cost to you!**

I placed a piece of cardstock in the middle of a Sticky Mat, then positioned the stencil over the cardstock and pressed the sides of the stencil onto the Sticky Mat. The Sticky Mat holds the stencil in place without tape or Pixie Spray! This technique works best on a Sticky Mat that has been used a few times and isn't as sticky as brand new.  However, I have used regular cardstock with new Sticky Mats.  To release the cardstock without tearing, I bend the Sticky Mat away from the cardstock.

The rest of the card is pretty simple.  I used a Mini MISTI for the sentiments and an Original Black MISTI for the stencil/Sticky Mat and image.

I also used the following tools:

Nothing in the World

**Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you**

The MISTI is my favorite tool for producing watercolor projects and multiples!

I used the Black Original MISTI to stamp the cat. Then I used both My Original MISTI and Teal Original MISTI for the sentiments.  Next, I colored the cat, leaving the stamps in the MISTIs. I was so glad I left the stamps in the MISTIs because I had a visitor! Rocket jumped on my desk to inform me that I had not given him enough attention, and smudged one of the cards! The MISTIs made the process of restamping the panel quick and easy.  The irony was not lost on me that my cat destroyed a picture of a cat!  Hehe.

Along with the MISTIs, I used,

Hanging Jars

***Our team uses affiliate links at no charge to you!***

Hi there! Today, I am sharing a cute card that uses multiple stamps to create the scene. I used a Black Original MISTI to stamp the planter hanger, the flag, and the tree. With a MINI MISTI, I stamped the small flag on a piece of patterned paper (the same as the card background), then stamped the sentiment on the flag. After that, I fussy cut the flag and used the Precision Glue Press to adhere it in place. I love the Precision Glue Press for small items like this flag. I then put the layer inside of my Teal Original MISTI.  After layering an Alignment Grid on top of the layer, I arranged the jar stamps so they would "hang" from the pole's hooks. I stamped the jars on the grid, then made adjustments so they hung directly on the hook. I followed suit with the bird after that.

Leaving the stamps on different MISTIS helps me to quickly create multiples.  If I make a mistake, I can easily restamp the card because the stamps are still in place.

Thanks so much for looking!

Stop and Smell the Wildflowers

***Our team uses affiliate links at no cost to you!***

Hello everyone!  I hope spring has come to your area.  Where I live the season comes with dramatic storms followed by brilliant blue skies. It has me reaching for my floral stamps and hoping for time to appreciate the flowers!

For my latest project, I used a triangle in the new Creative Corners set to align the sentiment on a precise diagonal line. I also used the triangle to mask off the upper part of the card. To ensure my paper did not move during multiple reinkings of the stamp, I placed it approximately an inch from the corners of the Sticky Mat in the Original Black MISTI. This allowed me to stamp away from the empty corners of the large background stamp.

Once I colored the image in vibrant colors, I added a black border diagonally with the Precision Glue Press. Finally, to finish off the card, I added a Double Dip Note to the inside.

I hope you are inspired to try out some of the amazing My Sweet Petunia tools!

Thanks for stopping by,
Angie
