Team Tuesday with Ceal

Today I am sharing a card using a mix of Concord & 9th and Pinkfresh Studio.

To make this card I started with a white top folding ard basem a white panel and a black panel. 

The stamp set I used is a set that has a layering stencil to go with it and makes it super quick to make a card. 

I stamped the floral image down the used the stencil to color it. When coloring with Layering stencils I use Sticky Mat along the Original MISTI . I place my cardstock in the corner, this allows me to line up each stencil perfectly.  Next I cut out all the pieces which was also super easy because it all cuts out at the same time, used some of them and added a little to my floral images. 

I used a cover plate by Concord & 9th cut out of white paper to contrast the black. 

I finished the card with a sentiment also by C9.

Banner Builders with Ceal

Hello friends and welcome to another edition of Team Tuesday! 

It's Ceal, here and today I am sharing a couple cards and some backgrounds using Concord & 9th products. 

To create these two cards I started with a top folding white card bases and  white panels. I used the Lets Party Turnabout stamping both of them in four turns to create the backgrounds and the Banner Builder Bundle for the sentiments. 

The Misiti is a must have for Turnabout stamping. The Turnabouts were actually designed to use in a Misti stamping tool.

For the first card I placed the Let's Party Turnabout in the Original Misti  and stamped in the following colors Dove, Midnight, Sprout and Stardust, then adhered the background on a Midnight panel. 

I placed the Banner Builder Sentiment in the Original Misti and stamped the greeting in black and then cut them out with the Coordinating dies. These dies cut out the sentiments separately so that you can mix and match your sentiments for the banners. I used Midnight cardstock to cut out the banner itself. 

 To finish the card I added a balloon cut out of Sprout and covered with vellum to give it a more realistic look from the Happy Balloons dies. 

The second card I created the same way as the first and stamped in Sprout, Buttercup, Honeysuckle, and Aqua Sky and then adhered it to a Honeysuckle Panel. I also cut the banner out of Honeysuckle as well and to finish the card added a balloon cut out of Buttercup and added to the front. 

For a little fun I used some bakers twine as the balloon strings on both cards. 

When I am using a Turnabout stamp I love to make at least 5 background to use on future cards so I will have them on hand when I need a quick card and I love that with the Banner Builder set you end up with lots of banner sentiments to go with those backgrounds you have created. 

Here are the color combos for the three other backgrounds I created

1. Midnight, Sprout, Marmalade, Oceanside

2. Dove, Seaglass, Stardust, Sorbet

3. Peacock, Poppy, Sprout, Stardust

Team Tuesday with Ilina: Your Friendship

Hi everyone!

Ilina here today with a fun and chic card using one of the new Concord and 9th sets called Winter Wear. I had so much fun making this card and the use of my MISTI made it a breeze! 

To make the card I started by stamping the head and the sentiment onto alcohol marker friendly card stock using Picket Fence Studios Intense Black Hybrid ink

I lined up my stamps onto the panel and picked them up with the MISTI, then stamped them and colored. On a separate piece of white card stock I stamped the scarf, colored it then die cut it. I assembled my panel and adhered to Turquoise Sea Top folding note card

Team Tuesday with Stephanie

I was recently asked if I could make a Winnie the Pooh Birthday card for a one-year-old.

I immediately thought that I could turn Concord & 9th Hi There Bear into Pooh with some creative stamping & my MISTI.

As with all layering stamps, it took a couple of tries to figure out the best order to stamp the layers.  For me, this one worked better if I stamped the outline first with Versafine Clair Falling Leaves.

Next I used the stamp that was intended to create a Panda Bear and only inked the top portion with some Catherine Pooler Rockin' Red (again trial and error taught me that the red stayed redder if I stamped it before the gold).

Next came filling in the bear.  Since I had already stamped the image once, it was stained a bit yellow which actually made it easier to position it insight the lines ... Archival Saffron Ink was the perfect hue for Pooh.

And since it was a first birthday, I added a single Birthday Balloon.  I stamped the outline first and then filled in with the same vibrant red.

I was thrilled with how it turned out ... the bear reminds me of my brother's oh-so-loved Pooh that often joined us on our childhood adventures.  I can't even imagine attempting this type of stamping without my MISTI ... it truly does make new things possible for me.

I found a page of a Pooh book online and printed it out to use with a sketch from The Paper Players.  The Happy Birthday is from the same Concord & 9th Hi There Bear set.

And of course, I couldn't resist adding a vintage Martha Stewart Punched Party Hat to his head.

World Card Making Day and a SALE!

Happy World Card Making Day!!!!!   I celebrate this day almost everyday.  I don't always get a card a day because I suffer from squirrel syndrome.  Lately,  I have been on a quest to reduce my paper pad stash.   I made a variety of cards with the same paper: however, the paper stash has not been reduced.

Here are a few of my latest creations using the last Concord and 9th release. It is an amazing release.  It has been a while since I have used a release right after I received it.  This release was one that I opened and ran to my desk.

I was determined to use up all of the die cut snowflakes.  This card uses the Joy from a retired Ellen Hudtson Die but I am sure you have something that you can substitute.   I even made tags to use up every little bit.

Christmas cards are going well.  I am about one third done.  I still have about one hundred cards to go.   So today, on World Card Making Day,  I am going to attempt another go at stash busting.  Hope you are inspired and will also take advantage of the sale.  My Sweet Petunia is having a sale this weekend until Monday.  You can enjoy 18% off the entire store.
