ReplyDeleteOh wait... I forgot to tell you my favorite thing that happened in 2017. It was going to the Soul Restoration class in Arizona, and the Certified Instructor Training in Idaho to learn how to teach Soul Restoration. Complete life-changing events!

ReplyDeleteI soooooo wish I had an even semi "nice" moment in 2017! My father passed in 2016, without a will. I was court appointed to dispose of his estate. 2016 & 2017 have been a total nightmare, not the least of which was an injury I sustained in July 2017 that left me with permanent nerve damage. Here's hoping that there is a tiny flicker of a light somewhere in 2018!

Can I say that getting a mini MISTI for my birthday was one of my favorite moments of 2017?! Even though it was pretty good (and I love it), my favorite happening was probably the fact that my oldest child decided, all on their own, that they wanted to be baptized. So proud! Thanks for the chance to win!

My favorite thing that happened in 2017 was getting my health back on track through exercise and changing my diet which resulted in weight loss.

ReplyDeleteThe best thing that happened in 2017 for me was getting to go visit my grandson, (who lives in another state), 5 times!
We had a big year of change in 2017, we built a new home after 23 years of being in a home and then obviously moved into the new home and that was some adjustment. Then 2 weeks after moving in my husband found out that the company he's worked for for 20 years was closing down ugh! The stress was supposed to stop, I also have a lot of health issues, one of the main reasons we moved. So my husband has been under a ton of stress over the past couple of years. But on Mother's Day our son and daughter-in-law told us that they were expecting and we were so excited. It's their first and our first grandchild. The baby took her sweet time coming, she was due 12/21 and arrived 12/30 at 8:16pm and her name is Myka Azrael Whistler Pezza and she is the cutest little thing! We can't wait to meet her in a few weeks, they live 8 hours away, so we'll be going to see them after our daughter-in-law's family comes to visit. We don't want to overwhelm them. So that's my favorite thing that happened in 2017 :) I became a Nana and am totally in love with this beautiful baby girl!! Thanks for a chance to win!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to happen in 2017 was discovering the hobby of card making!!! I picked this up in the spring and I have been obsessed since! I have grown so much as a crafter this past year and I'm really excited to continue in 2018. I found this hobby by happenstance as I found I needed a creative outlet as a break from my rigorous studying for school and I couldn't be happier! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing that happened in 2017 was when the court ordered that our 5 year old granddaughter would remain living with us and in addition to that gave us one weekend a month to have her with us.
ReplyDeleteShe has been with us full time since August 2014 and we have been trying to make sure that her maternal grandparents are able to be in her life and that her Mommy follows through when she says she is going to do something with her. After all, it takes a village to raise a child!
Our biggest hope is that she has a big circle of love surrounding her and help her to make good choices in life!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing in 2017 was the birth of my first grandchild. After a health problem she was able to come home from the hospital and is a wonderful, healthy little girl. That was my second favorite thing! I'd better watch it. As a new grandparent I could go on and on! Thank you so much for such an awesome giveaway! I make a lot of cards and don't have a Misti. ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing that happened in 2017 is that my late blooming volleyball playing daughter got invite to travel to represent the USA to Australia to play for 10 days. We still have to figure out how to fund it but it is amazing to see someone who worked so hard reap the rewards. Here is to trying to save a little money!

Having not being able to host Christmas dinner for quite a few years due to health issues....I was finally able to do so this Christmas. What a blessing and a very special memory that will be in my heart forever. Yay.....I love Christmas.

And thank you for such an excellent question! 2017 has been a tough year full of meanness and lack of civility and as a tax lawyer the end of the year was awful! So asking me to think about the best part of the year is a wonderful respite from the harshness of most of the year! So let me think... My husband turned 60 and we were all together for his birthday at a baseball game, we took a family photo and that was really tons of fun for us!

My favorite part of 2017 was finding so many sites that I didn't know existed. I found My Sweet Petunia on Ebay and it's been history since. And, the opportunity to win a Misti....sooo awesome
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing this year was traveling with our daughter and family. It was so special to get away and really spend concentrated with our loved ones. None of use particularly liked the location of our vacation, but we all had a blast just being together.

ReplyDeleteDuring 2017 my husband and I took a one month adventure to visit family and friends in upstate New York. Pennsylvania and Maryland. Many we hadn't seen in years. In many ways it was like we never left and were able to pick up right where we left off. Love the cards and ideas I viewed on your site AND I love My MISTI--both of them!!!

We had so much snow last year, and my favorite thing was feeding all the wild animals that came to our yard. We had moose, deer and elk eating out of our bird feeders, a photographers' wonderland.
ReplyDeleteFavorite thing from 2017 was taking kids out of school a few days early for our summer vacation in Cape Cod. It was mid-June and still cool but no one was there and we had the beaches to ourselves.

ReplyDeleteI am grateful my beloved cousin survived the complications after her cancer surgery-we almost lost her more than once and she was in hospital + rehab 5 months.
Fun thing-I would say the solar eclipse. Despite our infighting in the country...we came together for this rare event to look up and past our issues.
My fav time was the solar eclipse. Despite infighting, the country came together for this rare event to gather, look up and see past ourselves. (The post office stamps were cool too!)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite things was watching Buffalo in Yellowstone, we watched them for over an hour as they scratched on trees, rolled in the dirt and crossed the road!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! My favorite thing that happened this year was the birth of my first grandchild in August. She was born on the 21st which was the day of the eclipse. She is such a blessing. Enjoyed the video using the Concord and 9th stamp set.

ReplyDeleteFavorite 2017 happening was the added company of my sisters to my Annual Myrtle Beach vacation! We had so much fun and made our Christmas cards at the beach!
My favorite thing was celebrating my daughters' graduation from high school and from 8th grade. Happy New Year.

My favorite thing that happened in 2017 was a whole extended family (well at least a lot of the family) vacation to Hilton Head where my daughter announced she would be having our second grandchild soon.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing this year was adopting a 6 year old rescue cat that would have spent her remaining year in a shelter. She is sassy and has an attitude that we love. ReplyDeleteThe best thing that happened in 2017 was watching my daughter grow! From the time she started speaking simple words to make full sentences, in 2 languages, differentiating which language to talk to whom (we are bilingual parents) :) Everything is so memorable!!

ReplyDeleteOk, so mine is a little odd. But it's so fresh and it pushes every other memeory out of my mind. I was in an auto accident with a school bus on Dec 1st. The sweetest memory of 2017 is all the love that I have received. CArds from around the world. Love and patience from all of those that I have crafty committments with. The way my friends here in town have helped me out during the Christmas season when I couldn't do all the things I signed up for. I am not thankful for the accident but I am so very grateful for all the love and help that was shown to me during December 2017! Thanks so much for the opportunity to win a MISTI and a bag!
