Ellen Hutson asked me if I wanted to participate in their "We LOVE the MISTI" week. My heart melted. The amount of support that I feel from the stamping community is very humbling.
February 6th to 12th will be all about the MISTI at Ellen Hutson's CLASSroom blog. I took some screenshots from the video to post there.
Ellen was kind enough to send me the Mondo Peony to create this card. I stamped it with my MISTI onto three separate pieces of cardstock. After I colored the images, I fussy cut around certain parts of the peony to create my own layers. I waited to the end to add the layers.
I stamped the peony onto some masking paper. After I fussy cut around the masking paper, I placed it on my colored base. I used the Creative Corner piece to stamp my leaves off the edge.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Best Mom stamp from Altenew and added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

ReplyDeleteEllen is a great business owner!I have always liked how she treats her customers. So, it is no surprise she would do kind things for other small business owners she wants to support. I love my MISTI is a great idea! It has been going every week at my house since the time I have owned mine! I am one of the people who tried to buy a MISTI when you were assembling them in your home and would tell us what time they would go on sale. Then some lucky ladies would feel like they had won the lottery! I wasn't one of the lucky ones during that time, but I have had a MISTI since you opened your store up for orders once you had them assembled outside of your home the first time. I have always been thankful to you for making me a better stamper. Now I love my Mini MISTI just as much as the original!

I enjoyed your video and had to chuckle about squirrel syndrome--I suffer from that too. It was kind of nice to see another crafter struggling with the same issues that I do, such as being afraid to mess up my card after putting in a lot of work, and fiddling with the embellishment.
