Just before Christmas, I was out shopping. I was at my favorite store, Maurice's, and I came across the cutest top. It was hot pink with white flowers. The first thing I thought was that I can make a card with that design.
I thought I would pull out all my Altenew flower stamp sets and have a go at making something. Without a plan, just stamped away. It was so refreshing to just play and not worry about wasting cardstock. I didn't worry about the rules to colored pencils.
I stamped the card pictured above with the Best Mom stamp and used a sentiment from Label Love. I only used two Prismacolor pencils. Once I was done coloring it in, I overstamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Then I added some Pretty Pink Posh Confetti Sequins.
For this card I used the Wild Hibiscus stamp set. I used masking paper to make the center flower appear that it was in the forefront. I used a Hello Gorgeous die from Honey Bee. Then I used Sherbert Shimmer for the center of the flowers.
The card pictured below uses the Botanical Gardens stamp set with Simon Says Stamp Painted Thanks die. I used Little Things from Lucy pearls to embellish.
I really loved this card and I wanted to make multiples. So when I went back to make extra, I messed up the placement and ended up with this version. The Happy die is from Mama Elephant and the word birthday is from Honey Bee Happiness stamp set. I used Papertrey Ink Rainstones.
For my final card I used Concord & 9th Hello Lovely stamp set. This time i used clear embossing powder.
I did go through an entire white pencil making and playing with this. I only show one card in the video from beginning to end since the technique is the same for all. I do have to admit that photographing the cards was a bit difficult. It took several tries to capture the true color of the cardstock.

Oh my goodness Iliana these are beautiful. After seeing you do his I believe even I could do it, I just need to decide on which coloured pencils to buy. Such a beautiful set of cards. I'm in love with the bright colors and the white coloring. A question for you....have you tried Faber Castel pencils? Maybe they aren't as waxy and you wouldn't have the issues with overstamping. I don't own any FC pencils. I did try them st a coloring class but decided to invest in the Prismacolor ones. Maybe I'll buy just the white one and give it a whirl! Looking forward to your videos and crafty ideas in 2018.
