So, today I have a projects for you using few of the stamped images I had left from my earlier post using the Boho Flowers Mini Kit.
Here are few pictures I took with some of the steps:
Adhere the cardtock onto your MISTI, add stencil on top (I used my magnets to hold it in place), then use Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink to create the fun background.
Adhere a piece of White cardstock behind and add stitches, then distress all edges from both panels.
Stamp sentiment.
Add stamped images on top of a vellum piece.
Finally, add few sequins and add panels to a black card base.

I love Gina, she may be tiny but her heart is huge. So when we decided to do a blog hop together, I decided to stock up on Gina K Design stamps, inks and cardstock. I did run across the Vicky Mermaid stamp set at Gina K's store. As I said in a previous post, I lost my mind in her store. There is nothing like going to a store and holding supplies in your hand.
Mermaids seem to be in style these days. I have seen several stamp sets recently. The one thing I have noticed is that their hair is always perfect. Seriously, I go swimming and I come out of the water and my hair looks like a drowned rat. I do have to say that I was blessed with great hair; but nothing like mermaid's hair.
For my cards today, i created the same scene but had a different background. For one, I used the Gina K Waterdrop Stencil with a combination of glitter pastes to create an ombre look. For the other I just used a couple of Gina K Dye inks and did some ink blending.

My good friend, Melissa sent me my first Stampin' Up catalog. She knew I was crafty. I have always loved making things. For a while, I did crocheting. Then, I got into cross stitch. I even dabbled in quilting. Melissa had gotten married (I was one of her bridesmaid) and moved away. While she was away, she became a Stampin' Up demonstrator. That is how I ended up with my first catalog. It is true that Stampin' Up is the gateway drug to becoming a Stamp Junkie.
Years go by and Melissa is moving back to my area. We begin to scrapbook regularly. Since we are both new moms, it becomes harder to find time. I was working part time and she was working full-time and pregnant with her second. Because Melissa needed more to do, she starts school part time to get her degree.
We found it harder to connect and eventually don't see each other for almost a decade. This year, I started subtly asking her when she wanted to come over. Melissa came over once before Christmas and made a few cards. Her girls are in dance class and she totes them back and forth and I don't see her until early this summer.
When she comes, she just wants to hang out and catch up. I shake my head and say, "No, you came all this way. You are going to sit there and make something." By all this way, I mean she lives 45 minutes away. Melissa makes a couple of kit layouts and then makes this card for a baby shower.
Now I got her hooked again. Melissa's spark comes back and I am fanning the flames with all my stamp sets. Then, we have the Junkie Meet up hosted by Stacey from Scrapmania. I drag her along for a weekend of fun. There is no turning back now. Melissa is back in the club.
Melissa was at my house when I started this card. I really wanted to use up as much of that yummy pink metallic paper that I made here. I used a Taylored Expressions die to cut out the frame. Then, digging through my pattern paper I found two patterns. That is when I got stuck and did not know what else to do. Melissa was there to suggest a cupcake. There you go, crafting with friends can save lives. I could have been stuck in the abyss of my basement. My family could have starved because I was paralyzed in my room not knowing what else to do.

It's Ilina and welcome to another Team Tuesday. August is a birthday month for my middle child, Milena. She turned 4 couple weeks ago. So in "honor" of her birthday and all other friends who celebrate their birthdays in August I made a birthday card. I used the new released Concord and 9th Happy Balloons set and dies. Did you know that Concord and 9th celebrates their birthday in August? They just turned 2. I used my MISTI to do some partial embossing on the Pink balloon. First I stamped the balloon with Cotton Candy Hero Arts shadow ink, then inked the bottom of it with Versamark and using a towel I blotted the edge so it doesn't give a harsh line when stamped. Then embossed with Hero Arts Rose Gold embossing powder (this ep comes in a set with 3 cubes). The Butter bar ballon is more straight forward. I stamped the solid portion with Butter Bar ink, then over that the second layer with versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing powder. For the background I used Hero Arts Tribal Stripes Bold Prints and stamped in Versamark onto my black card base, then embossed with clear embossing powder.

I folded a paper towel on my plate and wet it with bleach.
Dip your blending tool into the bleach and create a pattern by "stamping" with the bleach.
I used my Mini MISTI tool along the Let's Play Around stamp set from Technique Junkies

to stamp my image and sentiment. I love the MISTI for solid image stamping.
This particular image took a few inkings to get complete coverage.
Did I ever tell you that when I first graduated from X-Ray school, I used to do Mammograms for a couple of months? One of the techs in the X-Ray department wanted to trade positions. She did not have to ask twice. I loved working at that hospital. Most of the time, I was assigned to the operating room. Once I went on vacation, and the surgeons were not happy that I was gone for a week.
We eventually moved to the midwest and I could only find a job in an MRI clinic. All that seems like a lifetime ago. All of these memories come back to me every time I think about breast cancer. So when Ellen Hutson decided to have a stamp set to bring awareness to breast cancer, I did not hesitate to buy it.
I decided to make my own paper like I did for this post. The paper turned out quite yummy and I will have to try and use it up as much as I can.

I have a few cards to share with you where I have used the technique of blowing ink in my design and I will share my process for this with you. I have also done my first video showing how I do this technique, and as there are 2 techniques I have done for my card, the video is longer than I would have liked especially given it is my first, and I will add it later this morning.
These are the cards that I made for today.
I have been told that some like a hand tutorial rather than the video, so I have captured a few screen shots to share the process.
I have attached my stencil to my piece of acetate and have applied Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol to my cotton ball before applying the ink, which is Tim Holtz Citrus. I dab the cotton swab around the stencil until I am happy with the look.
I am blowing the ink onto the acetate here changing the colours as I go along. I want the piece to be almost filled with colour, with only a few clear spaces left showing. I am using a fairly small in circumference straw as I have better control of the paint than with a larger straw. The alcohol ink dries fairly quickly, but be sure to let it dry fully as it is messy otherwise, and stains. which is why I do not do this process inside my Misti.
Once the inks have dried I continue with my card. I arrange my card inside my Misti using the grid lines to make sure I have everything straight. I stamped the leaf in my Misti and heat embossed using black embossing powder, then die cut with the coordinating die. For my stencil background, I sponged citrus distress ink onto a piece of cardstock cut to mat my stencil background, which also has white cardstock backing it. The sentiment I stamped using intense black ink and die cut with the fishtail label, which I then attached on foam strips toward the top of the card. Again I used my Misti to align the label. I added foam tape to the back of the leaf and attached it to the card and finished with a few sequins.

This summer is going by so fast. I thought that I would have more time to craft since we were on break from homeschooling. At the beginning of the summer I had a chance to craft. I had a few videos to edit, voice over and post. Here is the second. One more to voice over and another two to film.
This card is made with Gina K's Boho Garden Mini Stamp Kit. The photo doesn't really show off the vibrant colors. I have a new camera and have not mastered it yet.
The Boho Garden Mini Kit was one that I received for attending the Stamp Junkie Fest in Wisconsin at Gina's store. Stamp Junkies is a Facebook Group created by a group of die-hard MISTI fans. I had the opportunity to meet and hang out with these wonderful Junkies. We all stayed at the same hotel. The poor guy at the desk that we were a support group for drug addicts. Little did he know that our drug was stamps.
I stamped out several card fronts and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Finally, I had a chance to use my Tombow markers. These are actually really easy to use. I colored the flowers in and then blended the colors with an aqua painter.

This summer I was invited Junkie Fest in Wisconsin. Gina K. was sweet enough to host this in her classroom. You may have read this previously; we do not have a local scrapbook store in my area. So when I had the opportunity to shop in Gina's store, I sort of went crazy.
As soon as I was home, I made her a thank you card. This card was inspired by this blog post from Kristina Werner. This post was in 2009 and I remembered it like it was yesterday.
I stamped out my image in Avery Elle Truffle Pigment ink. To fill in the image, I used a white Gelly Roll pen. When I was done coloring, I put the card back into the MISTI and triple stamped it. By over stamping, I was able to cover up where I went over the lines.

Maria here today with a new creation for Team Tuesday. I hope you have a creative week so far and today's creation will give you some extra inspration. I must say, this card was a last minute project. Sometimes I spend days creating, but I don't always get the right result.
I had this stunning and cool Triangle Turnabout stamp from Concord & 9th, which I like, but forgot to create something with this design. Today is the day! I used the Original MISTI, because this is a large stamp and is a bit tricky, because the design is unique. You can watch this helpful video .
I always like to double stamp my design, because I like to get a nice crisp image and the MISTI tool does magic. Now you can get the new Studio Bag from My Sweet Petunia, to pack some of your favorite crafty tools and go away with your crafty friends.
