Team Tuesday Guest Post - Ilina Crouse

We wanted all of you to meet our amazing Design Team members for My Sweet Petunia, so we are starting a feature here on the blog called Team Tuesday. They will pop in and share some of their amazingly creative MISTI projects with you. If you are not familiar with these artists, we encourage you also to follow their personal blogs, Instagram and YouTube channels - they are just stellar creatives.

First up is our friend Ilina Crouse

You may have met Ilina at Creativation - she was demonstrating stunning layering stamps from Hero Arts at one of our demonstration stations. Here is her background in her own words. I would just like to add that she really, really likes coffee :)

My name is Ilina Crouse. By day I work as Electrical Engineer/Bid Manager, I have been married for 12 years and have 3 most craziest kids, Anna (5), Milena (3) and Jason (almost 2). By night (when the kids are sleeping) I am a card maker. I have stamping from as long as I can remember (I was 8 when I got my first stamp).I am addicted to color and coloring, I have gazillion colors of inks and coloring mediums (watercolors, pencils, markers, pens etc). My life is crazy and there is nothing simple, so I try to keep my crafting style clean and simple. You will see a lot of white space on my cards and only one or two layers, but a lot of coloring or color layering.  Since I am an engineer and strive for perfection and precision, MISTI completely changed the way I stamp and how much paper I waste.

Hi everyone, Ilina's here today, I am Iliana's twin from another mother (of course I am kidding, but people mix us all the time) . Today I am sharing with you an easy color layering fuchsia card. The set is one of the new Hero Arts sets. For my card I used my Original MISTI and the creative corners, that way I was able to stamp off my main panel. I stamped half of the design, then turned my card stock 180 degrees and stamped on the other half. That way I was able to get symmetrical design and cover the entire panel. Watch the video below to see how  I made my card.
