Sundae Afternoon Treat

Hey crafty friends and welcome back.  It's Sandi MacIver here for the Team Tuesday Post.  Today I'm sharing a Thanks for Being so Sweet card created with the NEW Sundae Afternoon stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  I incorporated another new product too.

Creating the background for the card:

To create the background for this one, start by brayering Wild Dandelion (Gina K Designs) Ink all over the new Waves Builder background stamp from the Rainbow Release at Simon Says Stamp.
This stamp is really cool.  First it's rubber, plus you can pull all the waves apart to stamp as many or as few as you like.
Place the stamp face up in the Misti Stamping Tool.  Brayer the ink on, and then drop the white cardstock onto it.
Transfer the ink by rubbing all over the cardstock with your fingers.  Gently lift it and set it aside to dry. Once the piece is dry, run it through a die cutting machine with the Wonky Rectangles Dies to get the fabulous wonky stitched detail around the edges.
Mount this to a top folding A2 card base and you are ready to go.

Copic Coloring for the Thanks for being so Sweet card image:

I stamped all of the images and colored them when I made THIS CARD that I shared last week, and of course that meant I had some left overs.  This Sundae was one of them. The Copic Markers I used are covered in this image:

Once colored, cut the Sundae out with the coordinating die.
Next, place the card front into the Misti Stamping Tool. Dry fit the Sundae on the left to give you enough room to stamp the sentiment in black ink.
Once the ink is dry, attach the Sundae with foam square to add a bit of dimension to the card.

Embellishing:

Finally, embellish with some colored sequins from the Rainbow Party mix from Simon Says Stamp.
