Howdy - Lydia here! I wanted to start with a Howdy, since I have a Western themed card for you today.
I love silhouette images that let me do blended backgrounds. When I first got my life changing brushes I sat down and tried different types of blending with them, and today's card actually features the very first blending I did with them. I used Peach Bellini, Sea Glass and Wild Dandelion inks to give a sky feel. Then I stamped the sentiment and the image from Crackerbox on top in Nocturne.
I extended the ground on the Horse Silhouette stamp to the edges of my card panel with a Special Black marker, and then also all the way down to the bottom of the card so my cowboy and horse weren't just floating in the sky.

ReplyDeleteOh Wow! My step father would have loved this, he was a rancher/farmer in New Mexico. I sent him cards every week when he got ill. He passed away last month.
