Visible Image & My Sweet Petunia Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hi everyone! Lydia here for a fun blog hop and collaboration with our friends at Visible Image.

This company has VERY cool, sort of modern, edgy stamp and stencil designs. I got this stencil from them that I just love.

For the first project today, I used the Stay Wild stamp set over an old Gel Press Print - I thought that fiery red background would be perfect for the wild horse breaking free. It's matted in both black and Lemon-Lime Twist on a white card base. The image and sentiment were stamped in Versafine Clair. The stencil in the background of my print is this one.

Then I switched to a pastel mode, with a Daniel Smith watercolor background on cold press watercolor paper. I used the Create It stamp set for that adorable little cat, with the Reason To Smile sentiment. Even though this is cold press paper, the MISTI and Nocturne Ink make the images crisp and perfect!

We all know that cats create a reason to smile every day. :) I added the Like Magic Sequins, matted the image in black, and mounted on patterned paper on a white card base.

Team Tuesday with Ilina - Color Layering on Dark card stock

Hi Stampers!
Happy Tuesday and welcome to another Team Tuesday. Ilina's here today and I am sharing few cards featuring the stamping on dark card stock technique. Little white ago I made a video with the same technique but different stamps and inks, so I have that one below if you are wondering how this technique is done in "real life" for your reference.

For my cards today I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Nasturtium set along with Prayers, Hello and Thanks Stamp and Cut sets. I started by stamping the first layer of the stamp (flower and leaves) with Unicorn white ink, once it was completely dry I stamped it again with Soft Pink/Butter Bar ink. You will need to make sure that you don't remove your stamp from your MISTI before stamping the second time (when you use colored ink).
After my panels were done, I stamped the sentiments using Versamark ink and embossed with White Embossing powder, then stamped the accompanying sentiment using pink/red inks. All supplies are linked at the bottom of this post.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you are inspired to do something creative today

Team Tuesdays with Susan

Hi,
I am Susan Wymer and I am delighted to be a member of the My Sweet Petunia design team! I love my MISTI - full confession - I have 3. I have a pretty significant tremor in my left hand and the MISTI has made it possible for me to stamp straight again. My blog is: www.stampbackandrelax.blogspot.com and I am Susan_Wymer on Instagram if you want to see more of my cards. Full disclosure I am also on the Craftin Desert Divas Design Team but I made this video simply because I love this Hello Beautiful stamp set and the technique of coloring with pigment inks.

Here is the card I made for today.

I used the technique of stamping with white pigment ink and coloring in with different colors of pigment ink on kraft cardstock to achieve this soft look. The set I used is Hello Beautiful from Craftin Desert Divas. It was just released this April and was designed by Anna Kovalenko. I adore this set and this is the fifth card I have made with it. It is a must have! I used Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment ink and Avery Elle pigment inks but any pigment inks will work for this technique. In fact, I think Distress Oxide inks would work great as well and give a nice vintage look to a card. I may just give that a try in a few days. Below is my You Tube video.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you liked  the card!
