Altenew Arabesque Medallion

The winter in the Midwest started off pretty meek.  Our first snowfall was on Christmas morning.   Since then it has been cold.  Cold weather makes me stay indoors.   Especially, since I work from home there is no need to get out of my warm jammies.

I seem to get more crafting done during this time of the year.  Maybe since I had a great time on the last set of cards, I decided to just jump in and stamp without a plan.

I picked out a colors searching for winter color combinations.  Once I picked out my colors.  I stamped Altenew Arabesque Medallion onto a half sheet of Gina K white layering cardstock.  Once I stamped all my images, I played around with how to showcase the medallion.

This card was made with the cut offs from the first card pictured above.  I just fussy cut around the medallion.  I used the Congratulations die from Simon Says Stamp.

I cut this medallion in half and was able to make two cards with one medallion.  For the second one I had to fussy cut around the medallion and then mounted it with foam.

This card only uses one medallion.  I used Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangle frames to add some interest.  The sentiment comes from Gina K Peony Wishes.

This last card was with just scraps.  I used my favorite Thanks die from Honey Bee.  For all my cards I only embellished with Glossy Accents.  In all, I ended up with 21 cards.

If you want to see the last 3 cards be sure to watch the video.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Wow Iliana, 21 cards would be a stamping marathon. They are all so gorgeous, it was definitely time well spent. I just finished cleaning and organizing my craft room. I have to every year right after Christmas as it doubles as a wrapping room and holding place until the gifts are delivered. Needless to say it was a epic disaster. Now that it is done I can't wait to have a stamping marathon myself. Haha
Have a great time at Creativation.

  4. Wow, gorgeous cards! I love how you even used the scraps and I love your color combo with this pretty medalllon stamp. Extra round of applause for your excellent fussy cutting too! Thanks for showing all the different stamps you pulled from your stash to make all these cards - I really need to do that more often. Thanks for the card front frame idea for designing the card too!
