Team Tuesday with Ceal

Hello Everyone!

It's Ceal, here to share with you today for Team Tuesday. Yesterday was officially fall and fall means it's sweater weather and I love it. 

I thought it would be appropriate to use the Sweater Weather Turnabout by Concord & 9th for my cards. 

The turnabout stamps were created specifically with the MISTI in mind and I love them. Now they also come with an alignment sheet so no more drawing the X on the back of your stamp and it also makes it super easy to line up. 

Even though I used the same stamp, both my cards have a totally different look. 

My first card I placed the Sweater Weather Turnabout in the Original Misti and a stamped it all four turns in Gina K Designs Chocolate Truffle Amalgam ink and then colored it alcohol markers. I used the Large Turnabout Jig to hold my paper. I used the coordinating dies for the greeting and the other elements. 

I created the second card the same as the first but I stamped the Sweater Weather Turnabout four turns in different colors, Sweet Corn, Soft Stone, Faded Brick and Tranquil Teal All by Gina K Designs. This time I stamped a greeting that is also in the set and used the ruler from the Creative Corners to line it up and the coordinating dies to cut it out.

 Kia here with you today to share this clean and simple card using my Original Misti and Penny Black stamps.

I did do a video, but for some reason my camera decided not to focus .... need I say more? Annoying!

 I decided to place my stamp slightly off centre for interest. 

And this is why I love Misti. 

I coloured the stamp as I went along using Distress Markers in Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover and Peacock Feathers. I spritzed after each addition of colours and cleaned the stamp periodically so as to not get a build up of water that could go where it was not wanted.

Colouring this way would have been unheard of before Misti. 

Once I was done with the leaves I cleaned the stamp and proceed to colour the berries using Worn Lipstick and White Jelly Pen.

To finish up I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Paradise. I then added the bird, again using the Paradise Ink. 

Although it does not show in the pictures, I did add Nuvo Shimmering Pen in Midas Touch to the berries, and also added a few sequins.

MISTI: Concord & 9th Just Love

I was good about posting the second half of the summer.  Well, I was actually gone to Houston during all those posts.  I had planned ahead.  Then I got home and nothing.  Well here is a card I actually made two months ago.  I meant to post it the last week I was gone.  My plan was to get home and continue my streak.

Then life happens.  I missed two weeks...or was it three.  I am not sure.  All I know is summer is sadly over and I am back to life.

Team Tuesday with Ilina: Quick and Easy mass producing

Hi everyone!

Ilina here taking over the My Sweet Petunia blog for a Team Tuesday. Today I am sharing a quick video and how quickly is to mass produce cards using your MISTI. 

I am using the new Hero Arts Color Layering Moth and I am stamping punch of them directly onto already die cut white card stock and playing with few fun color combinations. I made only 4 cards and saved the rest of the images I stamped for future use. 

My moto is: when you have your MISTI out why not stamp bunch when everything is already lined up.

Team Tuesday with Kia

We have a few changes coming here at My Sweet Petunia, so for today I am sharing different projects aided by MISTI.

On Wednesday nights I usually have watercolour classes, however a couple of times a year our teacher takes a break. So during those breaks the rest of us get together and we make cards.

A few of the girls are getting into the card making and buying their own goodies, but most come just for the fun of it. 

You can see in the top picture that Misti plays a major role in our card making nights. I now have the ladies tooting the horn of My Sweet Petunia and they all now what it is. 

One lady had me laughing when she said if I won a Million Dollars I would buy more MISTI's. 😂

On our last Wednesday we used Alcohol inks on Yupo. Most had never heard of Yupo before, let alone Alcohol ink. 

It is always fun to see what they will do. I am never disappointed at their creativity.
