2nd Anniversary
Can you believe it? We are two years old. To me it seems so much longer. Maybe it is because, it took me so long to bring MISTI to market. I don't even remember what it was to stamp before MISTI.
I still get the tickle of joy every time I go to watch a video tutorial and a MISTI pops up. Online Card Classes just had a course, Heat Wave, and many of the videos used or talked about MISTI.
I surf the internet on my cell phone and an ad from Simon Says Stamp pops up occasionally and there is a MISTI icon. I shop on Amazon, and on the right is a MISTI ad.
So to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary we are having a sale. We appreciate all of the love and support that the crafting community has given us. It seems that every one has been creating by My Sweet Petunia motto. "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another.... I Peter 4:10." Is that not a license to use our God-given talent to craft and send cards.
I feel so blessed that God has placed you in my life....

Stamp of Approval
The Stamp of Approval collection is now available for purchase. If you signed up for the waiting list you have the link to shop now.
I made a couple more cards with the background stamp using Delicata Gold pigment ink and embossing it with gold embossing powder. This lattice pattern is just elegant and it required more gold.

This card is just a variation using vellum. It is quick and easy to make several thank you cards.

Stamp of Approval Blog Hop
Hi everyone! My dear friend Catherine Pooler invited me to be a designer for the newest Stamp of Approval Lovely Notes Collection. I feel like I am a legit designer now. Like it is official now that I am invited to be a designer. It was on my bucket list to be asked to design for someone. Can you feel me channeling Sally Fields?
If you are not familiar with Stamp of Approval, it is a collection hand picked by Catherine. Some stamps are designed by her and others are a collaboration with stamp companies. These are exclusive to the SOA collection, so you won't be able to find these anywhere else (at least not for a while). These collections only come out every quarter. They sell out quick and to get a jump on the collection, signing up for the wait list. You are not obligated to purchase, you just get a notification for your chance to purchase when it is available.
The next collection is about to be released. As a matter of fact it is releasing on July 13th. Members of Stamp Nation will get a notification one hour before the public.
I missed out on the first collection but managed to get the last two. It was like getting a present in the mail. A present from me to me :)
This time I was sent my box early. These are the cards that I made.
I used the background stamp that is in the collection. I stamped it in my MISTI with Versamark and then used clear embossing powder. For the focal point sentiment, I did selective stamping with my MISTI. I used the die that was included in the kit. I found that the center curve of the die would fit the stamped image.
For this card, I stamped the backgroud out twice, once in Delicata Gold Glitz pigment ink and once in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I used clear embossing powder on the black and gold embossing powder on the other one. I cut down the background and overlayed a gold strip of the pattern. I stamped the sentiment in black and also embossed it with clear. I used black strips along both edges and under the sentiment.
